That was cute...Four Kings players watching Michalek walk right down the middle.

You guys make it sound like it's easy to stop a shot from 15 feet from a good NHL goal scorer. Shoulda had it. Please.

Garon is the reason this game isn't farther out of reach.

Courtesy of the "new" nhl rules. Would you rather they grabbed him?

I would hardly call Mark Bell a good NHL goal scorer. I'm sorry, but that shot was not going into any corner of the net. It was where Garon could have caught it. Instead it hit the bottom of his glove and went in the net.

San Jose has taken over this game ever since the Kings scored.

I'd actually prefer someone tie up his stick. That is, in fact, legal.

Right, because goalies are paid to stop only the easy shots.

I think the Kings are kind of a masochistic team. I swear they don't play well until the 3rd period and from behind.

I think that you need to watch it again. The only player anywhere near him was Visnovsky and he had no way to tie up the stick, even if it would've made a difference with Marleau skating that fast. The only thing that Visnovsky could've done is hooked Marleau and given him a penalty shot, and good thing that he didn't.

You are allowed to lock up sticks before the puck gets there. Defensemen are taught to identify the dangerous man and lock up his stick. That did not occur in that situation.

I guess 20-25 goals in a season just doesn't cut it in this league any more.

Jim Fox wants to see more from Frolov, but how is he supposed to when Avery, his linemate, is taking penalties whenever they're out there?

I was talking about Michalek's goal, not Marleau's breakaway. McCauley could have tied up Michalek's stick. I can't remember who the defenseman who was out there that could have, as well.

3-1. Garon handed Marleau that goal when he directed the rebound right to him.

weak..

I think you totally missed my point. We don't pay goalies to make the easy saves. That's a given. We pay goalies the big bucks to stop the difficult shots.

As I've repeated before..

Garon had the shooter squared up. Sopel had the second man cut off from the pass. Garon anticipated the shot from the player. It was a textbook play that Garon failed on.

Am I saying he's a bad goalie? No.

Am I saying it's his fault? Yes.

And speaking of fault, Garon let a rebound go that resulted in a goal. 3-1.

I'm not happy with our docile offense, though.
