I hope the Flames bury the Oilers tonight like they did the Avalanche. The Oilers are probably a tired team after having played last night, so hopefully the Flames take advantage of that and come out playin' hard and aggressive.

Haven't heard that he is skating, and the last I heard, we won't see him back until early February at best.

I haven't heard or found anything either. I think it's safe to assume Kiprusoff will be starting for Calgary, but I have no idea who will be starting for Edmonton.

Don't know if you guys noticed but the Oilers have almost as many GDT starters as we have posters. LOL

They don't seem to be too hopeful for the most part. That scares me. Just when a team feels at the very bottom, they reach down and hurt you. Were the Oilers thinking ahead to this game tonight? Like a wounded animal, they scare me.

Moss is trying to get an assist for a change it looks like. Oilers started trying to pot a fast one as usual. Kipper looked pretty good on the Bergeron shot.

Phaneuf is a piece of **** for pulling that **** with Smith. What a panzy who doesn't back anything up.

I don't know. With the number of d-men out for the Oilers and the number of rookie d-men playing for them, why wouldn't you want to try and knock Smith off his game? And Dion's knows he's a lot more important to the Flames offense now that Iggy's out, a lot more than Smith is to the Oilers. Happens all the time in hockey.

And as for your last remark. You haven't seen Phaneuf play much have you?

I wouldnt say he doesnt back anything up but he could have atleast stood around for Mr.Smith instead of going to hide behind the refs and a bunch of other players. Phaneuf probly knew he would have got manhandled anyway.

Gimme a ****in break dont even give us that ****. There is a certain amount of respect factor that has to take place in the game. Especially when u pull **** like that on a captain. I'm pretty sure that you wouldnt see our D-corps do that to Iginla because they're not all cocky ****ers like Phaneuf. If Greene pulled that on Iginla you'd all be freakin out over it aswell. So dont try to come up with some lame *** excuse saying that a smart *** move like that would knock Smith off his game. All it would do is light a fire under him and he plays better when he has a fire lit under him. So you obviously haven't seen Smith play much.

Friesen with his first. Great. Playfair gave him a chance. The Flames did some different things on the power play tonight with Phaneuf going to the net. It worked, gotta like that, and Huselius is so cool with the puck. Lombardi drew rave reviews too. Kipper rebounding and appears to be picking his game up just in time. Oilers played pretty well everything being considered. Pleased with another win sans Iginla. The team appears to be maturing and it is great to see. Looking forward to a strong finish for the season.

Good win for the Flames tonight. That Lombardi goal was a beauty. That guy's speed just amazes me. I thought the Oilers played pretty well tonight, especially considering they played the night before, but in the end the better team won. Now hopefully they can keep it goin' against the Predators, who I think will be our biggest challenge this far without Iginla. The Predators seem to always have the Flames' number, hopefully we can get a win over them, or at the very least an OT point.

And good to see Friesen get his first goal (how sweet is it that it's against the Oilers? lol). Hopefully this boosts his confidence and he starts puttin' in a few more.

The team the Preds meet this time, is going to be a little different. No doubt Iggy would help, but over all, this Flames team is deeper and more gifted offensively.
