OT Poll: Restricting away team ticket sales

So one of the things that I heard that the San Diego Chargers did this weekend for their game against New England is limit the sales so that only Chargers fans could buy tickets. They made it where only Southern California residents could purchase tickets. Of course, Ebay and Stub Hub and such would fix this.

Still, what is your opinion on this matter? Is it fair to limit the amount of tickets sold to away team fans.

I think its pathetic.Shows that you must be afraid of too many fans from another team invading your stadium

i think teams should be able to do whatever they want to get an advantage... you earn homefield, you should get to enjoy homefield. you want homefield? win more games. that simple.

See one of the things I thought was funny.

How many people from New England are seriously gonna come to San Diego for the game. Assuming maybe 1000 come for the game, the stadium holds like 60000 people, and assuming there are a few thousand(lets say 4000) Patriots fans in South Cali that decide to come, there's no way you're going to hear 5000 away fans out of that many people.

That being said, I see it as cowardly, and a possible way to kill San Diego's tourism from people who may have decided to fly out and see the city and a game.

I agree. The Caps used to try and do it against the Pens in the Playoffs.
