How many times did Frolov set guys up with some pretty nice passes only to have those guys all miss on their shots?

He was pissed that the Stars didn't get called for too many men and that they waited to drop the puck. I don't blame him.

Ha headshot. Talk about a phantom call, highsticking for a shouldercheck when his stick was in his opposite hand?

Anchor is right. Good thing that ice is solid all the way through. If this was pond hockey, we may have to fear for some people's lives.

I would've disagreed before, but, since it's clear that DL picked up the wrong vets, I say let the kids play for the rest of the year...try and get some better role players in the off-season.

I think Blake basically punched Hagman in the face as Hagman was leaving his zone. I'm glad somebody tried to start something. Avery tried to get nasty as well, but he's gotta pick a better dance partner.

Yea. He didn't high stick him but he def. punched him.

But rest assure our injury total rises again. Boucher and Halpern added along with Modano, Smith, Ott, Barnaby, Zubov, and Morrow. Now I know what you guys went through with all these injuries.

Actually you still have no idea until you totally tank the second half of the season.

This is true. Hopefully I won't have to go through something like that.

Ditto. In the past, it seemed like games that I missed were always good and games that were stinkers were never missed. It's nice to have it the other way around for once.

Last year, the second half tanking really wasn't about the injuries, IMO. The club was just rotting from the inside out.

I've never seen such terrible, unmotivated, uninspired, boring hockey in my life. Even when the Kings won it was absolutely unwatchable.

A similar thing happened the year before and the year before, as well; in those years, it started in the last ten games of the season-the first one, it resulted in the Kings just missing the playoffs, and the second, it just put the finishing touches on a non-playoff season. But last season, it started at the halfway point making Kings hockey something to be dreaded for the last 30-40 games.

I'm sure the injuries did contribute to it, but, moreso (especially last year), I think it was a case of the internal strife between player factions and the coach, as well as the West Coast grind combined with Murray's allegedly extensively intense practice schedules. The team just stopped functioning. They couldn't play effective hockey any more...the life was slowly syphoned out of the lockerroom and a very, very slow train wreck was the result.

As bad as the Kings have been on some nights this season, they've never dipped back to that level and I hope they never will.
