Why is Tanguay getting so few minutes?

Is he in the coach's doghouse? He is now on the second line, not getting many PP minutes and he gets half the minutes that the top line guys get. Is this a temporary thing or is this how he is going to be used from now on. That is alot of talent to only be playing 12 minutes a game.

Playfair's coaching is not the problem. If you want to point the finger at anyone in our coaching staff, point it at Rich Preston, 'cause our special teams are our biggest problem.

We only had 2 PP vs Nashville so if you basing his PP time on that then nobody got much...

Tanguay should be playing 18-22 mins every game, thats absurd of playfair. Guy has 30 Assists and he plays 12 mins... WOW.

It has something to do with the fact that Tanguay doesn't play when we're shorthanded. I do agree with pointing the finger at Playfair though. IMO, especially with Iginla out, the top 2 lines should be getting about the same amount of ice-time. Right now the 2nd and 3rd lines are getting very similar even-strength ice time.

*In the Nashville game, Freisen was on the ice only 2 seconds less than Tanguay.

it has more than something to do with not playing when we are shorthanded... it has everything to do with not playing when we are shorthanded...

and before you complain about a guys icetime maybe get your facts straight....

• plays an average of 16:48 per game (5th among forwards)
• 3rd (among forwards) in even strength ice time per game
• 3rd (among forwards) in power play ice time per game

now ask yourself this... would you want tnaguay out on the PK to increase his ice time?... i personally wouldnt
