A couple thoughts...

The match up situation on the road without our head coach could be a major problem. Lemaire is going to take advatage of Sykora, Hemsky and Nedved every time. If he sees them on the ice he'll send Gaborik. So far they've had a couple brutal shifts in their own zone as a result.

How are we going to get Smith and Hejda against Gaborik when we're on the road? Every other match up is scary. It's scary pretty much any time any other pair is out there.

Powerplay adjusted well to the pressure at the point and created a couple of good chances. That's nice to see.

Enjoying Gilbert's first pass and PP instincts so far.

Gotta take advantage of the injuries and put lots of pressure on.

Fluke goal but that's how you get them. Go to the net, throw the puck in that direction and things happen.

What in gods name happened to Stoll. How did sportsnet miss this? Especially since they had the camera on him

I don't know if I can live if Stoll goes down. That'll be it, I'll concede the season. He means that much to our team.

I concur...right up until you said that you'll concede the season...but I want to know what happened.

My prediction- Gilbert will never play another AHL game. He made some plays that first period that would make a vet look good, for a rookie that is outstanding.

Lupul scored! He's the greatest Oiler of all time!!

Lupul for Crosby!!!
Hey man, only guys like Crosby and Lupul could pull off a perfect bank shot off a pivoting defenceman's inside edge and directly under the goalie's arm.

I think if we threw in a 3rd rounder, it'd be fair. I just don't know if I'd want to do it..

For the record, I believe in Lupul. Seriously. He just really sucks right now.

Stoll always looks like he is hurt, he wears emotion on his sleaves. I didn't ever think he would be back after the back to back blocked shots to the ankle, but he did. I don't think Stoll can say no. Great Leader.

Collided coming cross ice with Demitra on Hemsky's attempted rush towards the end of the period. Looked like knee on knee, which is why - even though it looked harmless, and he managed to get off the ice - I'm scared ****less.

As I seem to do way too often on these boards, I was being overdramatic about that part, just trying to get the point across that losing Stoll is just as bad as losing Hemsky or Smyth.

Roloson needs to stay in his FRIGGIN net! The guy caused that first penalty. 2 Oilers back there and he whips it around the boards to a Wild player. He does this a lot.

Forgiven, considering I just endured one as well. I have good news for both of us.

Stoll's fine!!! Thank god.

Wild have three out, one questionable. The Wild are hoping to maybe get Carney back, but not likely.
