Calgary Flames @ Dallas Stars

Big game tonight against the Stars, and we sure need this win to get back into 1st place. Hopefully the Flames come out swingin' and take advantage of the Stars' injuries (8 players out). We've won both meeting with Dallas this year but they both have been at the Dome, so hopefully being on the road won't take us off our game.

Good job Zyuzin! First useful thing you've done all year and it was for the opposing team. Get rid of that ****in' mongoloid. Trade him for a bucket of pucks. At least we could get some use of the pucks.

3-1 Dallas.

The Flames are an embarassment tonight. I'm still waiting for them to show up to this game. What a joke.

As usual, we're El Sucko on the road. Perhaps the matchup game is the answer? TSN seemed to get it right tonight.

BS call, but it doesn't matter. They should've played better before the second goal.

Yeah, but it would have been nicer to see Calgary show up for all 3 periods. They deserved to lose tonight. My hat goes off to the Stars. With 8 injuries, they managed ot make the Flames look like rookies. We should have sent our farm team to play Dallas tonight. It seems like Phaneuf and Kiprusoff were the only Flames players who actually got the memo that we had a hockey game to play tonight. Oh well, another blown game on the road by the Flames due to lack of effort. Nothing new here. Had it not been for Kiprusoff, this game would have been a blowout.

Hopefully the Oilers & Canucks lose tomorrow.

I agree, that was a horrid call on Hamrlik at the end of the game. Don't have the slightest notion of what the ref was looking at to make that call.

But...as you said...you shouldn't put yourselves in a position to have a weak call by an official end your comeback hopes anyways.

That was definately a horrible call on Hamrlik, but the Flames get no sympathy from me regarding that bad call. They had all game to do something and they slept through it. Had they actually come out and worked, they wouldn't need to be down about a bad call ruining their chance at a comeback.

This game was practically handed to the Flames on a silver platter for the taking. With a depleated Stars lineup, all they had to do was put in the effort and the win would have been theirs.

It's games like tonight's that prove that there's no chance in hell of the Flames winning the Cup this year. I hate to say that but it's true. They'll make the playoffs, I don't doubt that for one bit, but most likely they'll be an early exit, because they can't play every game at the Dome, and for some reason they forget how to play hockey on the road 90% of the time.

these guys can't get fired up on the road... and what is the answer?... play 7 defensemen and leave a high energy guy in Lundmark on the bench... i know Lundmark isnt the best player... or even that good for that matter... but at least he gives a solid effort and skates every game

Wow lose a couple on the road and the vultures are out.

As for the comments about not winning a Stanley Cup, well at this point the Flames are not a favorite anyways. The key is just to get into the sweet 16 and anything can happen.

But I will admit this is not a road team, don't know why. Maybe the Flames are a huge "EMOTION" team - they can't get motivated playing in front of half empty buildings like Nashville and Dallas.

A couple? No. We haven't just lost a couple on the road this year. We've lost the majority of our road games this year. And despite my comments, I'm still behind this team 100%, it's just frustrating to see them play like this on the road. I have no problem accepting a loss when they bring the effort and try, but it's frustrating when they don't even try.
