Why not Perez at C and Koivu at W ?

Ok so we always hear about how the Europeans player are good at all three forward position and since Carbo seems to be running out of option this is what I'm offering to him. Perez is fast, strong, smart and enough defensively respondible to be a center IMO. He has underrated playmaking skills and is just crying for another shot on the top two lines.

With Koivu moving to the wing he will be able to concentrate more on the offense. He's also a hardworker that works well along the boards and could be his line's playmaker from the wing.

So here is what I propose. Our ultimate 4th line would be Begin with Lapierre obviously along with a slumping forward, in this case Samsonov. Both Murray and Downey are our spare forwards.

I think the 3rd line of Higgins-Plekanec-Johnson was pretty good when we used them and I think Carbo should stick to this line.

I'd love to see Latendresse play with Bonk again as we all know they have some kind of chemistry and I think Koivu could be quite they addition on the wing on that line.

Which leaves us to Ryder on the LW, something I wanted all along. This can only quality is to shoot so why not give him that possibility on every shift.

Ryder-Perezhogin-Kovalev
Koivu-Bonk-Latendresse
Higgins-Plekanec-Johnson
Samsonov-Lapierre-Begin

Just a thought but the more important thing in there is to move Ryder to LW!! Remember Dagenais? Well IMO Pierre is a poor man Ryder and he was playing on his off wing so that his shot would be a dangerous weapon night in night out. I could definitely see Kovalev or Perez setting up Ryder in the faceoff circle for a quick one timer.

What do you think!?

Is this a joke because Carbo has tried everything imaginable no matter how little sense it makes, or are you serious???!

A line shakeup isn't going to fix our woes. If anything, I would suggest going back to the original lines from the start of the season and working from there again. Get players playing with familiar players..

Sure why not try Huet at center also.

Saku is the best faceoff man on the team, why would you want him to move to the wing. He is also the best center on the team by a country mile. You think we have problems down the middle because we lack a #2 center. How is lacking a #1 and #2 sound to everyone.

I'd try koivu with perez and kovy again, anyways, after changing the lines, I think we should not shake them again, let the players get a connexion with their linemates god...

I really don't understand the loving of Perez on this site. He's taken some really stupid penalties this year and Bonk and Johnson help inflate his +/-, what else does he bring to the team? At his current rate he's projected to get 21 pts. Someone please explain why he's a god on here...

personally, I never thought he was god, I wanted to put him up there with koivu because it worked very well last year, HE WAS SCORING GOALS. Putting perezhogin on a 3-4 line will never help him to score more goals.

He's been our worst forward in the last month or so.

I agree, but he sounds like our best forward on here sometimes.

while we're onto bad solutions, here's one that's not as bad: move Markov to the centre of Kovalev and Samsonov.

Souray's got a good shot, he should be playing the wing instead of Ryder. We can have a line of Souray/Markov/Streit.

The only thing that isn't genius about that is the first line. The other lines would actually probably work.
