per the e-mail. Quietly having a great season in the AHL. League minimum, more center depth.

45 points in 41 games. Peverley is having a pretty good season in the AHL.

Speaking of having a good year in the AHL, how about Darren Haydar

I have to put him in the category of Career AHLer ... he's 27 (28 at the beginning of next year's training camp) this year and has had 2 games of NHL experience thus far in his career

Glad to see this because I was concerned that he wasn't a part of the organization yet and might get signed away after this season.

I'm interested to see how he continues to develop in the AHL and whether he will be given a shot to knock off a Fiddler, Smithson, or Nichol as early as next season.

Maybe this was done in preparation for sending down one of the aforementioned players and possibly losing them to waivers in the near future?

Don't know...guess we'll just have to see.

Figured it was just a depth signing. You never know when injuries can take over, so why not go ahead and sign him if he is productive.
