Murray's Line Combinations (when spezz/fish is back)
in murrey's words :
"I think what'll happen to begin with is that I'll just leave the lines the way they are right now," said Murray. "I'll probably put Fish and Spez together when they come back. Fish can play the wing as well as he plays centre. And I might even throw Vermette on the other side."
That leaves Chris Kelly between Heatley and Alfredsson and recently acquired Mike Comrie between Peter Schaefer and Chris Neil. Three pretty solid forward lines.
well i guess eaves is moved to the 4th line .. i rather see eaves instead of neil playin with comrie/scheafer ...
we can literally go with 10 different line combinations and they all can work pretty well ... i dont think murray is going to stick with 1 combination for more than 2 days

Ya, there are dsome slight modifications I would make, but ultimately these are great looking lines. Pairing Spezza with the breakaway of Vermette and Fisher should make for a fun, dynamic line 2nd line. The fourth line is probably the best in hockey IMO.
well it looks like someone who is better than a 4th line player will be on the 4th line...but we will be able to roll 4 lines no problem which leaves our players a lot fresher and creates all kinds of matchup problems for any team we play...so even the 4th line MAY see increaced ice time
spezza may be "demoted" to the 4th line, but only so that he
does not have to play more than 5 min a game until he gets more
comfortable in his return from injury.

The people who've said he's just practicing with Hamel and McGrattan are correct. That way he's back around the team again, but not affecting any chemistry on existing lines, since he's not ready to step in yet. TSN just lists the actual practice lines; Spezza won't be playing on the fourth line when he returns.
I'm only wondering what time will be given to Comrie in third line? How will Murray split TOI between our players? It's looks like our all three lines are able to scores.
Ottawa coach Bryan Murray gave a pretty good hint about his lineup once Jason Spezza and Mike Fisher return from injury.
Murray doesn't want to tamper with recent success. "I think what'll happen to begin with is that I'll just leave the lines the way they are right now," said Murray. "I'll probably put Fish(er) and Spez(za) together when they come back. Fish can play the wing as well as he plays center. And I might even throw Vermette on the other side." That leaves Chris Kelly between Dany Heatley and Daniel Alfredsson, and Mike Comrie between Peter Schaefer and Chris Neil.
(dean brown) : "Oh MY HEAVENS! Jason Spezza has literally EXPLODED near center ice!!! that reminds me of the time Roger Neilson and I gorged ourselves on Rocky Road Ice cream at a Baskin Robbins during a road trip in Toronto.
Roger got some on his tie and needless to say we laughed and laughed and laughed.
Speaking of laughing, its ironic that a guy like Spezza who loves to laugh exploded."
I'm assuming Eaves will play on Spezza's wing before Fisher comes back, since Spezza should be back before Fish, if only for a few games. If he puts McAmmond there, I will scream, and then the goat thread will explode with posts from yours truly. Eaves-Spezza-Vermette is interesting - I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I'd agree, but it sounds like they hope to get Fisher back at the same time as Spezza.
