Thats funny i was thinking the exact opposite. Im excited about getting a new jersey. It is just a way for the NHL to make money though.

I also heard that there will be no horizontal lines of the jerseys. if this is true does that mean Montreal will not have the blue line behind their logo anymore because if not thats wrong.

Agree, more ways to make money

However, it's always the consumers choice right. I have 2 Sens shirts. 1 I bought at Giant Tiger and it's really nice. Spent $20

I don't feel the need to buy new ones every year.

And come to think of it, the signed tshirt I got was $25 at SportsChek.

Maybe the money clutching ******** get me when I buy tickets that I can't afford

I dont really have a problem with them bringing in new uniforms, but I don't want them to change the logos/designs.

The jerseys they wear at the world juniors are nice, and by that I mean the ones which are more form fitting. Sleek lines look much better than baggy jerseys and pants. Would also restrict the super baggy jerseys that some goalies wear.

I like the estern conference uniforms, very stylish.

Completely wrong, just to let you know. NONE of the jersey designs are going to change at ALL, unless the team chooses that they want to revamp their design. This means horizontal stripes are staying. I posted earlier in the thread of what each jersey type is going to be.

The jerseys do NOT have to be tucked in, and pretty much its just a little bit of a tighter fit, and different lighter weight material, thats pretty much the ONLY change in the jerseys, which makes many people happy.

I just dont buy that every team will use the same template. We already know Chicago and Montreal and those teams are keeping their horizontal striping, but I did hear rumours that the Sens are one of the teams wanting to have a complete redesing of their jerseys.

Personally I like the third more than the Red and Black, but my fave Sens jersey by far was the black with the white and red horizontal stripes at the bottom. And the OLD logo.

God I hope they ditch that logo soon.

I would like to see a return to the barber-pole design ala 67's.

I dont think all teams have to go Buffalo style, teams can still go horizontal with with the new jerseys.

I wonder how the uniforms are for fighters. Still tie downs? Is it harder, easier, no difference for Gratts? Not that Pierre Mcguire cares I know.

I posted this in the NHL forum, may as well put it on here too.

Just to let everyone know, I went to a hockey store today and saw the REPLICA all-star jerseys, and IMO, theyre pure garbage. The logo is SCREENED onto a cheap patch, then the patch is stitched on very cheaply. These were going for like $80.

Didn't see any authentics in person, but in no way would I buy the replica.

pretty sure someone who works in a sports store wouldn't know before it was announced. They're pretty good preventing leaks they don't want.

I'm just telling you what I was told, in the 07-08 RBK hockey catalogue, where the jerseys are for shown for next season in the jerseys section, they have a picture of just the logo of the teams, except for the 6 I mentioned above, in their place they have TBD

So...I was under the impression that the new uniforms were going to be released yesterday, but I guess they weren't. When are we going to see these things?

Photoshop is not my strong point, but here are a couple of Sens ideas. I figure the aways would be red with Scotiabank now a major sponsor (a la ScotiaBank Place). There's a great tradition of the black, red and white barberpoles in Ottawa hockey, so I tried to sneak them in...
