Thrashers Game Notes
Canadiens Game Preview

Les Habitants have beaten the Thrashers both times the Boys From Blueland visited Montreal. It's time to show them some Southern Hospitality and beat them tonight. Unfortunately, the goalie situation won't be like Tuesday night, in fact, I'd say it's the exact opposite.

Score Prediction:

:thrashers 4
2

Goal Scorers:
:thrashers Kovy (2), Hossa, Kozzie
Koivu, Souray

Great GDT

I would not call the goaltending the opposite of Tuesday, we have been where those Kings fans are now and it is not a pretty place.

I am interested to see what the crowd is like tonight. With all the "bad" weather, I wonder if we get a lot of people with tickets not showing up.

Hey, I feel the Kings' fans' pain, but the difference between the Kings' current netminders and the Habs' netminders is night and day. At least during our goalie-go-round last season we stole a few games.

Who really knows with the weather. Some areas may get icy later on tonight, but for the most part, the bulk of Metro Atlanta will stay above freezing.

Pretty good so far, didn't convert on a 5 on 3 but the PP was cycling the puck well, got Kovy on a BS diving call (I'll never understand how you can be tripped and dive on the same play, one would think it's either one or the other) and we finished up the period with a Holik goal at 19:51.

Let's just hope that we keep it up on special teams, you can't be a successfull team without an at least mediocre PP and PK teams...

But of course the main issue is to score...

lol lets hope so, horrible start to the period

It's a shame, all those pucks Huet is leaving just sitting in front of the net aren't finding any Thrashers' sticks.

Well, that pretty much does it for this game.

Habs are up 4 to 1 now. Habs are out hustling the Thrashers and out playing them. I could see HiBob pulling Kari.....but he's not just a time out.

Seems like Huet is catching all the breaks tonight. He is giving up rebounds left and right, but somehow the puck can't find its way in.

Couldn't put three passes together tonight. Just blindly throwing the puck into Montreal players legs time and time again.

Jim Slater was awful. He is a hard nosed player, and an excellent diver, but the kid has little hockey sense. He blew a couple of promising opportunities tonight with moronic decisions with the puck.

Huet's stats will look good on the box score, but the Thrashers created few decent scoring chances. When Exelby and Hnidy from the point are one of your better scoring options, you are in trouble.

This team is...so hopeless.

At this rate we'll lose our division lead.

Awful came. Deja Vu feelings from last January...

And somehow stats are showing 45 shots against Huet. Can't be official truth...

Hnidy, what R U doing on ice? And somehow he is pulaying playing together with Coburn. Maybe wasn't best call yesterday?

Hnidy's been with Coburn for a bit, it's nothing new.

Ive said it multiple times, this team REALLY misses Andy Sutton, and while he hasnt produced that much this year, we're missing Steve McCarthy too.

Last year it was our goaltending..this year it's our defense.
