Most amazing hockey video game sequence I've ever seen

So I'm playing NHL 07 for the Xbox 360 tonight, and I go to a shootout with the Ducks tied 1-1. Frolov is my second shooter and nobody has scored yet, and this happens:

Completely stoned. My jaw hit the floor. I could not believe it.

Just thought I'd share it with you all since it was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen out of a hockey video game.

(FYI, Kopitar scored the only goal to give me the victory )

I swear, if you don't declare this game supreme, I'll select four fat guys and pummel all of you.

The fat guys were too slow. Stick with the medium guys.

In actuality, I usually go with one Tkachuk, two mediums and the Gretzky-lookin' skinny dude. But for pummeling purposes, I go all-fatty.

Ice Hockey had full-out line brawls in the game!
Mutant League Hockey was a fun game too, http://www.playright.dk/infotitel.php?id=18319

Never did get to play Mutant League Hockey. Was that on the Genesis or SNES, or both?

Ahh, NHLPA Hockey 93. She was a classic. But despite the awesome bleeding, NHL 96 was the creme de la creme of that franchise, and all hockey games, really.

Genesis, and what a sweet game.

I would always try to find the chainsaw and win by default by maiming all the opposing players.

And I agree that NHL 96 rocked.

Damn, I'm a Sega man, so I'll have to try to find that cartridge at a used videogame place. Don't know how I could've missed 'er the first time, but I'll crack out the old 16 Bit if I should come across it.

I thought NHL 94 was pretty good for Genesis.

Agreed, 94 was the ultimate. No cheezy wrap around goals where the goalie gets stuck like 93, the first year for one timers- no spin-o-rama nonsense. It was the best.
The only flaw was that Pitt was unstopable. They were forbidden in my circle of friends.

Yeah, in hindsight, I probably should have. But as you can tell from the 3rd picture from the bottom, I didn't think there was any damn way Giguere was gonna be able to get over and make the save.

Relatively. I owned the PS2 version since September, but I bought the 360 version a couple weeks ago now that I have a 360. It is superior in practically every regard.

My gamertag is Justegarde, by the way, if you want to get owned, Spongebob (or anyone else for that matter)

Send me an invite or whatnot next time you're online.
