Corvo eh? I've not heard his name at all. What do we think about him?

Corvo always killed the oilers offensively as a King. He has the knack to put up decent points in bunches, but even by his own admissions he is a catestrophic defensive player this year. Perhaps it is the scene, I like Corvo as a player. But is he enough to move Torres or Lupul straight across? Not to me.

That, and he has a fragile ego. The guy can't take hard criticism from the media or fans, which he's proved this year in Ottawa. How do you think a guy like that would do in Edmonton?

Mikhnov with a 3 year contract in Russia?!?! Yeah that sounds like he is done here. Hopefully he does get the invite for training camp and he does show up.

Joe Corvo is not the answer for us - he's just another Steve Staios. We need a guy who can play a #1 or #2 role on the team.

Forsberg to Calgary? If that happens, I definitely hope Lowe goes into sell mode

Everything I can dig up on him suggests he is a bigger version of MAB. Not sure that is what we need, if he came cheap, maybe. It looks like he is making 2.5 mill this year and 2+ for the next 3 or 4. Kind of expensive for a guy that probably does not crack the top 4 (once our blue line gets healthy). He does put points from back end though, if we dealt MAB for a top pairing guy but otherwise we do not need two MAB's.

The part about us retaining Mikhnov's rights, is that only for the rest of this season or do we keep his rights for a couple more?
