Lecavalier about Luc Gelinas ?

Is it me or I heard on RDS Lecavalier talking to Simon gagne and said "Hey Simon, Luc Gelinas yé fatiguant hen?".

In english "Hey Simon (Gagne), Luc Gelinas is annoying".

Its was funny.

Heard that, but it was clearly for fun, Vinny repeated it at least twice, to make sure the folks at RDS caught it and broadcast it.

It was fun to hear him yell in french during the play (ex:"MARTIN, ENVOYE EN AVANT!")

Crosby, however, seemed shy to speak french at all, he does speak it very well, it was a bit strange

An annoying RDS reporter. He's the one usually doing the interviews (well him and Chantal who is even more annoying).

Souray said ''Thank you Luke'' at the end of his last interview tonight. I bet he felt all warm inside.

He's the one that got blasted by Carbo 2 weeks ago for asking the same questions using different words.

I really hate her, she messes up even the simplest names and acts like a 15 years old meeting her favourite boys band every single time.

Claudine Douville (sp?) is hands down the worst reporter on RDS.

Someone would think that after that many years as an interviewer...the guy would actually get better at speaking in english.

He does the job, it must not be as easy as it seems. The only thing I would like him to improve, is when he summarizes the players comments, he usually repeats/translates what he said himself in totality, then a quick sentence from the player, while making it seem like the player said it all.

(Did I make sense, at all?)

Jacques Demers RULEZ! I would love him as the color guy for Habs games so I could hear more "WHOOO" and "WHAAAA" and mostly the "WHEEEEEEEE".

Yea. I wish RDS would hire other people than their close friends. And get guys that have more professionalism. I swear to God, I don't know where they get these guys.

The worst is Sylvain Pednault(not to be confused with Yvon). He's usualy doing those "personal interview" with Habs players. He's so bad at speaking english that he's embarassing us all.

He was kidding... He knew that RDS were listening to him, so he made a joke...

Wow, some very harsh opinions here!

I like most of the RDS people to be honest. Sometimes they are extremely biased, and somewhat ignorant about things around the NHL outside of Montreal, but to me they are a crew I definitely feel comfortable with. I'd rather watch a game on RDS, in which Houde and Pednault know everything about the team, than a game on CBC where Don Wittman and Mark Lee fumble through different topics. I like Luc Gelinas too. He's like our personal reporter almost.

I'm not the biggest fan of Chantel McCabbee. She isn't that talented, nor is she that useful. She could easily be replaced.

IMO, Luc Gelinas is watchable.

I hate Renaud Lavoie though.

You did, absolutely, I've noticed this on every single interview he does. Not really his fault though: every single interview with a hockey player has the interviewer asking leading questions, or "Leading the witness" as I like to call it. It just becomes painfully obvious after he translates and essentially repeats himself. This is why they should scrap player interviews, especially in-between periods, altogether.

True, but you have people that spent the entire life here and can't speak a word in french.....so, give Luc a break! He came a long way!

That was pretty cool, there were a bunch of cool sound bites yesterday, like when Brière was facing off against Perrault, he said something about Sid and you heard the ref say " in english please".

Or what about Hartley's comment he were really funny, he quick and on point, now here's a guy I could see take Demers place when Jacques hangs is mic, if Hartley is without a job of course.
