Remember that Habs fans wanted a UFA as well.....

Wouldn't trade just for trade, wouldn't want to get rid of Kostitsyn now that there's a possibility that he's turning the corner, nor any other prospects 'cause if we have something, it's our depth as far as prospects are concerned.

Not for a rental or for Benoit Brunet clones.....

The result of the poll: Most of the readers of "Le Journal de Montréal" are dumb.

lol, i love how 'they' want to give up players like that in return of superstars (including one making like 77 million a year)

well let's be fair here, these were the options that were given by RDS, not fans who said what they wanted...

SHOCKED to see Niinimaa in that group of losers, this guy is the key to winning it all. If Niinimaa goes, so do our playoff hopes....

very upsetting

Exactly... People are naming big names, but are probably aware that draft choices and youngsters have to be part of a deal...

what attitude would that be???

from what I've seen, he's got a pretty good attitude and wants the team to win.

ok, he's a bit of a pre madonna, but so is Jagr, Roenick, Hull was the same way....Kovalev is sick and he turns it up 10 notches in the playoffs, when the real season starts.

I'm so tired oh hearing this junk. people start repeating crap they hear on the radio and on internet chat boards." Kovalev is lazy, he only plays 1 /4 games, he's a cancer in the room " and then he scores a sick goal and everyone's on his dick again.

He wants the team to win but he dosen't try really hard thats for sure.

Just a bit of a pre madonna? (please don't ever compare Jagr to Kovalev) Jagr dosen't try,but is able to get 2-3 points per night.Last year he turned that franchise around completly.

Kovalev has the talent and yes he's a great playoff performer but we need this from him every night.Im not saying he can't have any bad nights, but not every night. The past 2 games he played ok,after Samsonov got benched,he realized he was probably next.

Anyways sorry im just not a big fan of his

That's cool & I can respect that but when it comes to Kovalev or no Kovalev, what on earth do Canadiens fans want? I mean, really?

It's just like us to not see a good thing when we have it. If Kovalev (a veteran with his skill) was to be traded, who on earth would take his spot?

I'm sure there are answers to the question but then I have to ask, how in the heck do we get those particular players to be in Montreal? What trade? Also keep in mind that this player must equal or exceed Kovalev's playoff potential or I won't be pleased.

Before last season there was posters on these boards that were saying Jagr was washed up and done, that he sucks, too lazy, overpaid....now he's considered one of the best in the world again.

I'm not comparing Kovalev to Jags , just stating that when you're a pro athlete and you're hot.... you're adored, and when you're not.... you suck!!!

think back to the 04 playoffs against the bruins...sure I was pissed at Kovy after that little slash incident, but don't tell you didn't love him after he pretty much took control of that series and won it for us.
he could do it again, and that's why he got a four year contract afterwards.

You mean they gave them four choices? Usually it's stuff like "Do you prefer pictures of car crash victims in colour or black and white?"

The results say it all. The content is the audience...

Now if we could just a find away to trade Samsonov, Abby, Kovalev and Niinimaa for Richards, Sakic, Forsberg and Laperriere!!!!

I'm actually surprised only 56% of hab fans want to see the habs make a trade. I thought the number would be around 80%...all the time. I mean what hab fan doesn't want to somehow see the club improve through a trade. I can't remember a time as a habs fan, not want to see us somehow add a good player for a lesser player, or something like that.

So Gainey gived him a 4 year contract because he played well against the bruins? Were was he against Tampa after that bruins series? Even better were was he when Koivu went down last year?

I don't hate Kovalev, I just hate the fact that he dosen't show up on most nights with the talent he has.He can change a game at any time, but he just dosen't care

A pre madonna? Good one.
Is that, like, Doris Day?

Sometimes you can't let it go, I was trying to come up with something, but Doris Day was definitely pre Madonna.
