What about Sundin?

Do you think Sundin could be the answer to our offensive problem? He's still talented and can play centre. He's a UFA and is in better physical shape then Forsberg. He'd also probably come cheaper then Forsberg, but do we want to trade with the Leafs?

What do you think?

Do you actually think Toronto is going to trade thier captain to the Montreal Canadiens.

Well, if they believe the season is over for them they could trade him and sign him again in the off season like Pittsburgh did with Recchi. He looks like a hero because he made a sacrifice and come to the Habs so Toronto can get some young talented player or pick.

A - The leafs are in a playoff race...

Sundin's situation is different since the Leafs have the option on his contracts next year. That alone makes him way more expensive than Forsberg. He would be great in a Habs uni however.

Sundin is a great player but what would we give up for him? How would we find the cap space? And as others have mentioned I doubt the Leafs would trade him to the Habs.

I would love to get him with our team !

he's exactly what we need to go very far in the playoffs .

Just imagine Sundin first center , Saku second center , Bonk or Plekanec 3 th center and Plekanec-Lapierre 4th center ...wow !

That's a different situation.

Koivu is God whilst Sundin is just silly old Jesus. He skates on frozen water.

What are you talking about? Sundin is probably the most consistant and clutch player in the league.

That's bull. If there was anybody on the Leafs that was ever good in the playoffs, it is Sundin.

No doubt he would be an answer to our offensive problems! I would trade for Sundin over almost any other veteran in the league. He has always been a player I have admired. He is a true leader, and an amazing player that has the ability to take over a game with his speed and skill. There is no way the Leafs will trade Sundin though - they would be stupid to do so. Even if they did want to trade him there is NO way they would trade him to the Habs. I think Sundin will retire a Leaf!
