Defencive system

Are you tired of this ? Do you think we will have to change our system of play for next year ?

We always have to ajust us for the opposent . Do you think 3 offencive line would be nice ? Like Buffalo ?

When the best trios of the opposite play , we always have to put Bonk on the ice . Why don't just put our best one against them best one ?

3 offencive trio will improve our 5 vs 5 game . Now its always DEFENCE , DEFENCE on 5 vs 5 . That why we have difficulty .

(next year lineup projection)

Higgins-Koivu-Ryder
Latendresse-Plekanek-Kovalev
Perezhogin-Grabovsky-Kostitsyn
Begin-Lapierre-Downey

Its will not decrease our special unit .

PK :

Higgins-Koivu
Plekanek-Begin
Lapierre-Kovalev,Ryder,Kostitsyn,Perezhogin

PP : The best trio of the game .

Maybe I'm just dreaming , but an offencive game will be perfect with the city who want talent , and not trap .

A player who's on the top scoring of the NHL cannot hurt .

That is what its going to be like if you Gainey as a GM and Carbonneau and Jarvis as coaches. That is the style they are going to install. However, I would like to see a more aggressive forecheck going and a better breakout scheme, but I feel that Carbonneau and Co. have done a pretty solid job up to date.

I don't mind watching a little be less exciting brand of play if the team wins. Fact of the matter is that the Habs are 4th in the East. We really can't question the way Carbo has the team playing. Sure, I'd love to see 3 good offensive lines like the Sabres. We just don't have as much talent at this time. Give it a few years and we'll be there.

This is a projection of next year's lineup. Samsonov is not likely to be re-signed, he may even be traded at the deadline.

Samsonov is already signed for next year so unless he gets traded, he's still in the lineup.
