Today at 12:00pm before the pre-game show they are going to be showing another one of those biography type shows with Henke as the topic. Personally I think its cool but i'm a little confused as to what they are going to say about him. I know he has had an impressive career overseas with the Olympics and the championships he has won in the SEL. But the past shows have had Leetch,Messier,Richter, plus the Knicks shows have had Kicks legends on there. Lundqvist is in his second year and has yet to really do anything major in the NHL like winning a cup or even a playoff series. Not saying he doesnt deserve it because obviously he is one of my favorite players, just curious thats all. Any way i'm sure it will be on more than just today @12 check your local listings
Way too early for this... Henrik is great, but he hasnt earned this yet, no where near it. Hes a second year player for chrissakes! Way to jinx him MSG!!
Yeah I cant watch it now because i'm at work but i'm intrested to hear from those who are at home and can watch MSG have to say about it. I feel like if they focus more on his overseas acheivements it will be ok, but if they are trying to build him up in only his second year in the NHL its very premature.

Why mention Weekes at all in a negative manner. Plain stupid journalism. Henriks merits and achievements are a story - someone elses unfortunate turn of career is not imo (I have not seen the program so I do not know if this is the case - but if it is it is sooooooooooooooo looooooooooooooooow)
It is also very strange to feature him this early in his career. Maybe in ten years and him wearing three Stanley Cup rings and with 4 MVP trophies at home

As for the first part of your comment, I agree, there is no need to bash someone else in order to praise the other guy. I dont know if thats what they did because I havent seen it, but I sure hope they didnt.
Just an indication of how hard up for programing MSG network is. Plus, Lundqvist has a very nice, outgoing personality and has become a fan favorite. I'm sure that's why he was picked.

I finally saw it and while I thought it was done well, it was too soon to do it IMO. He hopefully is going to be a great Ranger for a long time if not his whole career, but they should have waited a while. One thing that I thought was kinda cool and a major compliment was Richters comments on how good a player Lundqvist is. Other than that I thought it could have waited untill he wins the cup next season
