^I agree.

Bring it on Ovechkin!!!

This is a battle of superstars.

Heatley vs Ovechkin
Spezza vs Semin

O_O This is a heavy weight battle, lets see who is the last man standing, I can't wait for this game.

It will probably be Heatley o_o!

It had better be Heatley! Hoping for a hattrick to reclaim the scoring lead.

I don't have official confirmation or anything but all signs point to a Gerber start. Back end of a back-to-back, against a weaker team, and Emery has had something like 9 consecutive starts. If we don't get him in now the next probable game isn't for weeks (Florida Feb 14, maybe Edmonton a week after that).

The only thing that might make Murray inclined to start Emery is the home-ice factor.

I'm glad Gerber is playing... if he is. It is about time he gets in net, performs well, and secures a win. Going into the playoffs, we need him on his top game.

Me also, hopefully he gets rolling now heading down the stretch. The guy didn't just suddenly become a bad goalie, I think he'll rebound. I know he has been awful at times this year, but it seems like nobody around here even wants to give him a chance.

I love both our goalies, but it seems like Emery can do no wrong (even when he is kicking out bantam level rebounds) and Gerber can do no right. We are becoming leaf nation number 2, as fickle as they come.

On the plus side, if he does play well and we lose we can always blame it on Corvo.......

I'm just worried that Gerber isn't getting enough starts. We learned from last year that both goalies have to be ready to go for playoffs. It doesn't matter who is better than who, if something happens (*knock on wood*), then uh oh. I really hope Gerber is starting tonight.

Hmmmm... with Gerber in nets I predict 5-4 win for Washington
Ovechkin with 1G 1A
Semin 1G

I'm hoping the team bounces back but I'm a little worried about running out of gas.

Hopefully the all-star break is a positive in this area as opposed to a negative.

The key will be for Gerber to keep Ottawa in it and not give up an easy first goal.

Gerber starts tonight.

Fisher Back tonight!

Team 1200 mentionned just now.

Garrioch says: Fisher will play on the wing with Jason Spezza and Antoine Vermette.

"I got assurance this morning that Fisher is ready to play. I'm just going to throw him on the wing for now and let him earn the ice time," said coach Bryan Murray.

With Fisher back and likely on the Spezza line, rather than move Eaves back, I'd like to see Vermette center the Heatley/Alfie line.

Before all the injuries. Vermette was centering Alfie's line, and they seem to have good chmistry.

Lately Vermette and Heatley are on the PK together and seem to play well together too.

Kelly has been sruggling lately and it might do him good to get away from all the pressure on the top line for awhile.

Comrie is also struggling as has his whole line. Maybe there should be a shakeup there too.

I read somewhere that Alfie was questionable for the Montreal game. I hope he is okay and that all the 26 min games arent causing problems. Hopefully since everyone is back now, they won't overplay him I dont think he played as much the last game.

Define struggling?

I don't see how Kelly or Comrie are struggling.

Sometimes teams shut you down. It happens.

I saw both players have opportunties.

Interesting quote from Murray.

I mean, I don't see Fisher NOT earning anything. Good work ethic oozes from this guy

Hey smartass, I meant in your own terms. But a well educated response I see.

See how stupid that sounds. Jesus.

I assume he means earn the time on a scoring line, where Fisher hasn't flourish this year.
