Nice to see that Fisher is back in action tonight. I've missed him with his all that intensity and speed.

Anyone realized that this is the healthiest lineup we've had in quite some tome? Let's hope nothing happens to change that.

I just realised my division/abbreviated conference standings have no relevance here, I'm just used to doing games against division opponents.

Washington's details:
4th in SE division, 50GP 49P. 12th in the Conference.

Oh man I hope we dont get blown out. The mighty Pothier not playing tonight? We have to take advantage of this opportunity.

I cant believe we are still questioning Kelly. The underrated one who has helped Heater and Alfie rocket up the standings while staying defensively strong enough to win.

+/-

1. Lidstrom +32
2. Preissing +28
8. Alfie + 21
12. Kelly +20
14. Heatley +19

Kelly is the defensive conscience that allows the line to prosper. But Kelly will probably help create a great checking line soon.

Comrie a 1st liner? He hasnt earned the 2nd line spot yet.

Fish Spezza Vermette gets its 1st audition as a playoff line tonight. All the injured return, i wont expect too much yet.

Edit: Gordo reporting Spezza will center Schaef Fish. Spezza gets to center the checking line

Someone tell me this. Why is Schaefer 2nd line?

Someone answer me that? That guy gets paid alot to score and he can barely do that. If there is a player to trade before the deadline, please get rid of Schaefer.

If this means Comrie will be between Vermette and Eaves than I will be so happy.

Eaves looks to be playing with McAmmond Schubie again, so probably Vermette Comrie Neil.

Comrie - Neil

Why is it that ONLY Murray sees chemistry between the two?

Gah he completely shuffles the lines in every way possible but fails to fix the one thing that is seriously broken - the Comrie-Neil pairing.

edit: beaten

I dont know why, but it seems like Gerber looks so tiny in front of that net.

Its not up to Murray to fix that. It is up to the players to win their spots. It is tempting to hand everyone the spots we think they should end up with, but the reason Murray is a good ciach is that he will make them win their spots, and we will be better for it.

Its called good coaching dont ya know

What?

Comrie earned a spot with Neil because he poisoned his cat?

Errr, so that means Neil should be on the 4th line then? I mean, you're supposed to earn your spot. Eaves should be up there, not Neil.

Comrie only has 8 points in 11 games. Neil has a great 1 goal in 20 games or so. Neil isn't earning his spot on that line.

Comrie has earned the right to play with something better than Neil. He's earned the ice time...thinkwild is thinking wild on this one. :p

If we are judging Neil on his goal scoring prowess, we will be confused why he gets his ice time. And no Comrie hasnt earned more than playing with neil yet. He has shown some good stuff, but he is in competition with others of more service to the team still for it.

So basically he's out there because of his hitting? That sounds like a 4th liner to me.

Come on you guys, he is out there because that forecheck is part of our team identity now, its Neils hits that is creating space and wearing out teams. And Neil has been in front of the net for many goals, and nearly all of Comries. This is an important role to this team, one apparently very undervalued. Its because he is getting 3rd line time he is able to contribute to the identity

Kelly line matched up against Ovechkin again. Good thing he has some scorers with him

Since when did that line become Kelly's line?
