no interest in a small forward like McDonald, when the nyi have their own forward prospects fighting for icetime.

and even if the nyi dealt Hamrlik, they'd still have 3 offensive d-men.No real interest in Havelid

Sens fan Garroich wrote on last yr's trade deadline that MM had tried getting Lupol for Izzy.

That's the type of high quality youngster the isles are asking for, in their Peca/Leaf talks and who they'd want back as the key to a Parrish/Hamrlik to Anahein deal.

a d-man under 6 feet and 200 pounds.

an even smaller forward with concussion problems.

a third rounder.

don't knock mm's socks off! simply make it two ninth rounds picks (this year's and next year's) and you've got yourself a deal!

Pretty brutal proposal. But not that brutal. Look at it this way:

McDonald>Parrish
Hamrlik>Havelid, 3rd

Fact that Isles cut alot of salary could make MM bite.

I don't like it that much from a Duck standpoint though, either. I'd love to have Hamrlik, but Andy Mac is just awesome. He's small, and has a concussion history, but he's still better Parrish, and he's better than Kvasha as well. It's not as bad as everyone thinks. It can be done known Mad Mike's history, the fact that he's trigger happy at the moment, and, that it's not that bad value-wise.

Sorry but McDonald is not better than Parrish. Both seem very similar value to me. McDonald's health is always an issue but he's been effective when he plays. Parrish's health is not the issue, his consistency is. Personally, I would take Parrish over McDonald and I'm a McDonald fan.

And yes, it is as bad as everyone thinks. That offer wouldn't even get Hamrlik, let alone Parrish with him.

The last thing the ducks need is another finesse forward, McDonald actually plays big and Parrish is overrated by many people.

To Isles:
Vishnevski
Perry
3rd

To Ducks:
Hamrlik

Parrish is far from a finesse forward. He takes a beating in front of the net every game. he is the one guy whose effort can never be questioned. And MM would take that deal any day.

Factor salary in, and yes, he's better by far. Maybe straight up as well. McDonald is cheaper than Parrish, he is putting up better numbers than Parrish, he had a couple concussions, but I know that's because he played center at the time, and now he's a winger. McDonald is younger than Parrish as well. Fact is, If I was Milbury and BM offered me McDonald for Parrish, It would take me a nanosecond to accept that.

When I've seen Parrish he tends to loaf on defense and not really throw any hits...our team has guys like that the ducks team needs more role players then guys who should be first or second line players but When Leclerc comes back I think theres a good chance Hamrlik could come out here.

Yeah, right. Exactly what do the Ducks have in terms of MOVEABLE assets that would bring Hamrlik. I'm not talking about guys they obviously aren't going to trade, I'm talking about players that could actually be on the table. When you look at it that way, there is about zero likelikhood that the Ducks get Hamrlik.

Now, a Parrish to Anaheim deal is a bit more probable and I would not be shocked if it happened.

I'm willing to bet that, if the ducks got Parrish for McDonald, you'd be dancing in the streets.

Then that's a bet you'd lose. I would start cheering for the Oil(my 2nd fav team) over the Ducks if Murray did that. Hell, I don't want to trade McDonald to get Comrie. If you would be willing to bet that a Duck fan would be happy for getting Parrish for McDoanld you're A)overrating Parrish and B)obviously not much of a betting man. On the Ducks board, we're talking things like Pahlsson and a third for Parrish, not Andy McDonald.

It's also weird Parrish is considered better when Andy Mac is outscoring Parrish at the moment, and just recovered from PCS.

I'd love it, but no way the Ducks do that.

Scatchard > Sykora
and that might even be a stretch. but

Carney>>>>>>>> Martinek and 3rd

Wow. I nominate this for dumbest post of the year. I didn't even mention Jiggy in my post, which he quoted. And, he isn't a one year wonder. He played THREE solid years as a Duck before this one, and this season has just barely passed the first quarter. The first quarter is his worst, and he is amazing in the second half.

Once again, very, very dumb post.

P.S. You misspelled Jean-Seastien Giguere

2000-2001:70 games,17 goals,13 assists
2001-2002:78 games,30 goals,30 assists
2002-2003:81 games,23 goals,25 assists

If Ducks management think anything like there fans then it pretty obvious as to why Comrie still isn't a duck.
