OK, WTF!!! (This one I don't get)

Here's what I got from chfans.com (who quotes CKAC):

"Une nouvelle de dernière minute de Ckac confirmerait que Zednik ne jouerait pas ce soir et que Komisarek serait sur le point de faire ses débuts à l'attaque!

Ckac a bien confirmé cette nouvelle. Zednik ne se sentirait
pas assez bien pour jouer. Mike Komisarek le remplacerait à l'attaque!!! "

Zednik is out

Komisarek takes his place up front!

I don't listen to CKAC but from what I've heard, there's not much credible comments coming from that radio station.. so I'd take that with a grain of salt, just like the 110% comments

All i can say is wow... This is getting pretty weird. I mean it's something to try it once with Rivet but we can't keep putting our d-men in front. If they don't practice the same plays as the fowards do... wont it hinder our game?

The reason given on Ckac that he doesn't feel well?

this don't even make sense

the Ryder, Koivu, Zed line is doing great so why break it up...Ryder is showing tuffness

this would be a surprise, don't do it

and maybe Saturday Garon will be placed up front. Why he doesn't bring Plekaneck or Higgins or maybe play Markov up front...CJ full of surprises

Here's my suggestion....

Let's call up Doug Jarvis from Hamilton and give him a shot for the first line !

Remember me the Houle-Tremblay tandem

how do you build chemistry on this team, this season Julien kept the same lines only 4 times in 2 consecutive games. Unless Zednik is sick or injured I really don't get it.

This could be another form of punishment.

Zednik had been lazy despite his recent success. He did take a really stupid penalty against TB that could of cost us the game. Still, taking your best players out the lineup is just plain stupid if that is indeed again the case. I don't see any other teams doing that sort of thing. Eventually, those kinds of decisions could come to hurt us.

I just hope it isn't tonight.

Chfans.com is a decent source, but i'm still going to wait for the confirmation from rds before I pass a true judgement.

Still, what if a trade involving Zednik was in the works?

That could justify this possible weird decision on Julien's part.

Zednik not feeling well just doesn't cut it for me. If you're going to scratch a guy atleast give us the correct information. Otherwise, it just creates rumours and bogus stories.

All I can say is... highly dubious....

But if you fantasize for a second and suppose that Komi does well as a forward, that's one heck of a power forward. He will kill you and then place the puck in your net.

Lets put Theodore on the second line as a power forward (on a line with Dagenais & Perreault) and put Ribeiro in nets....he might not stop anything but at least with his moves he should be entertaining!

Now you're just being silly... Theodore could never be a forward.

But I like your Ribs idea. :p

I did speculate about it in that Molson Man thread, but I didn't think it would happen for at least another month or so...

Anyhoo, I think we should wait to see if he's actually sitting tonight before jumping the gun on this.

The wiser option... Not the road I would have taken, but still... Commendable!

In a related news, Patrick Traverse has just been called back from Hamilton and should be the starting goalie tonight. Theodore will referee the game along with McCreary.

If nothing else, Julien's keeping things interesting.

Maybe we'll get to see a new all-rookie line: Hainsey-Ribeiro-Komisarek.

still can't see why he would split up the first line.....it's doing well

Zed traded? what would they get that would be worth what they would get? a scoring forward?

you'd have to give away something good and we need to hang onto it

the prospects that we have are unproven as much to us as to any other team

still think we should wait
