lol i was leaning towards maybe they realize Malik sucks and they were trading him for something. Knowing the Rangers he will be the 7th D-man until Roszival is ready to return.

Knowing this team, the move has more to do with Pock being out of position for Sundin's break/gw goal then it does with clearing some vetran trash...Not like giving Pock some regular time might help him smooth out his game or anything..nah, here in NY you get 2 weeks off, fill in one game and if you make a mistake it means you're just not a good fit.
I think he is going to be the 7th D-man personally, but heres hoping this means that Malik is going to be out. If Lampman does actually play, it will probably be in place of Pock due to his bad pass that led to the GWG, I personally dont think he should sit for that, but what do I know.

I just remember some of the news articles before the Rangers called up Girardi saying that in order to bring up another kid from Hartford somone would have to be waived. No mention anywhere if Roszival being put in the IR as of yet. I would think they would be announced before bringing someone up.
Well..considering both Pock and Giraldi were both benched for the final 12 minutes of the game yesterday and Renney went with 4 dman...I can safely assume one of those 2 won't be playing.

I think we'd have to go through some growing pains. Lampman's safer at this point. I'd love to see Ivan come up, but with his style of play, which could be risky at times (standing guys up at the blueline), we could suffer through some growing pains, which at this point, I don't think management team would be willing to do. Lampman's like your career AHLer who comes up and fills in the #6 spot in case of injury. Not saying I agree with this, just trying to explain my thoughts on from where they're coming at this.

What did people think of Girardi's play? Didn't hear too much criticism or issues with him on the radio broadcast.
I think Girardi's play has been pretty good, he makes the smart play up the boards instead of the risky blind pass that the Rangers D have seem embrace this season. I like him alot and want to see him for the rest of the season.

I'm watching Rangers Hockey Night, and Dave Maloney says that he has been very solid, making good outlet passes, head on a swivel.. but thats been only for 2 games, lets see.. i agree, he's been solid so far, no complaints..

he's one of those players we have too many of. Not doing anything terrible, but then again, not doing anything at all. Not blaming him, since he hasn't even played 10 whole games.

too many of? we have not had solid d-men up until now. if u ask anyone, they will all tell you that they wouldn't mind having more of this type of player..
