In order for Slater to have a sophomore slump, you're implying that he was worth a damn as a rookie.

I can skate better than Jim "Falldowngoboom" Slater.

Pavelec dominated in back-to-back games against the best team in the league, Lewiston. Say what you want about the talent of the team he plays for, he was the reason they won those two games.

I will say this, he hasn't impressed me much this year but lately he's been very, very good. He's amazing down low but, in my opinion, is weak up top. He almost always makes the first save but he gets burned on rebounds. Part of that can be attributed to the D not working hard enough in front of the net though.
