he wasn't tripped, beauchemin got the puck first, but to call that a dive? unbelievable.

I agree. Awful call. The hook is correct however.

There is your makeup call. Dive on a slash.

Edit: There is another one for you. No hold...but its called anyway. This should be a great night.

we get a good break, ducks take a penalty with the man advantage, to go four on four for most of the rest of the double minor.

wow, they just re-showed that sullivan chance from above, and i don't think we realize how close he came to scoring. he beat giguere and the puck went off the bar and parallel to the goalline and on out.

that penalty and near-goal for the ducks illustrates what passive defense can do. timonen waited for the pass, let Perry have the lane along the boards rather than pinching him off, and the Ducks nearly cash in and do draw a penalty.

Vokoun looks sharp so far, but GOD does he make me nervous, playing so far out of the crease with so much traffic in front.

I mean, I know that's part of his style, but it's burned him a great many times, and he HAD gotten better at knowing when to get back. The problem is that if anyone can get free on the side...all it takes is a chance squirt of the puck and they're looking at a yawning net.
