I'd agree, I think it's time for an update and a change.

one of the newspapers (forgot which one...it was around the allstar game) had this description of the new jerseys:

Also, the Panthers will have a new look next season, the first real update since the team's inception in 1993. Like each team in the league, Florida only will have two jerseys next season because of the Reebok redesign. The Panthers will get rid of their original red jersey, at least for the time being.

''We've made changes,'' Yormark said. ``It's a much more contemporary look. The look is going to be different from what we have now. We're pretty excited about it.''

The white road jersey will have red as its prominent secondary color; the blue home jersey will feature yellow as the main accent.

Yormark said horizontal stripes are out and vertical stripes are in. The leaping Panthers logo on the chest will be larger and more dynamic.

So this will be "do you know who I am" Yormark's idea to get the team going. Lets change the jersey so that eveyone that has spent tons of monye on them for years can now feel obligated to buy the new look, and those fans like myself who are still waiting for the free jerseys we were promised as season ticket holders, will have about a month of mileage on them before they become obsolete. Now if they somehow can swing making these jerseys the new ones for next year I would be extremely impressed and shocked, but I would never expect that from this team or even less from Yormark. We continue to be the laughingstock of this league, in soooo many ways.

"The jerseys are almost done." "The team will make big moves in the offseason." "Locking in your season tickets will bring big benefits." "I expect this team to make the playoffs." I don't know what is more amazing. That they say it with a straight face or that we keep "Believe! (TM)"-ing.

whats *****ing about the franchise going to do?

just reading these posts from most of you. its pretty amazing. shanking the team, basically treating them lower than dirt.

thats pretty bad, there was no reason to get shut out 7-0.. but WOW; some of you are going off the deep end.

Here's a pic I lifted off the "Design new jerseys" thread on the main board (it's someone else's design BTW) ...

The hues seem a bit too light, but I wouldn't mind it if that''s what they looked like.

Cut the Panther off below the chest. The legs look silly - the proportions are all wrong. They need to go. If they do that and increase the size of the rest of the logo to compensate I could grow to like it.

C'mon, admit it: you want the panther to look a lot more like the frog in your avy (which I've always thought was a great pic).

ATF, I made the edit you asked for on the Panther logo, but Michael Yormark just walked into my living room, grabbed my laptop, tinkered with the image, gave it back to me and said "Post this pic, or else. DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!?!?!"

ROFL. I just spit up coffee on my laptop.

BTW - nice job with the logo. I think it has more potential than the "panther with the tiny back legs" look.

Wait. Cohen just showed up, too. He's changed his mind on the colors. Here's what he told Yormark he wanted...

That's appropriate, they can let us be more aerodynamic as we dive down the standings. WEEEEEEEE!!!

Okay, I decided to chop the body off and increase the panther headshot.

Oh, and I picked the focal color off the panther logo. Kind of hideous in a way, but you can't help but look at it.
