You're DL: would you pull the trigger?

...long-time lurker...

Here are some possible deals that I think are realistic and serve each team's needs. Comments? Other likely deals?

Norstrom for Noah Welch [PIT]

Norstrom + Avery for Kyle Quincey [DET]

Norstrom for Ryan Parent [NAS]

Cammy for Ryan Parent [NAS]

Norstrom + Cammy for Ryan Parent + 1st [NAS]

Miller + Tukonen for Tyutin

Garon + Pushkarev for Brett Carson [CAR]

Garon for a 3rd

Armstrong for a 2nd

LA's 1st pick for 1st & 2nd picks from [let's say TOR]

Norstrom + Avery for Kyle Quincey [DET] NO.

Norstrom for Ryan Parent [NAS] YES.

Cammy for Ryan Parent [NAS] NO. I think we could get more for Cammy.

Norstrom + Cammy for Ryan Parent + 1st [NAS] MAYBE. Norstrom for Parent yes, but I think Cammy could get a 1st +.

Miller + Tukonen for Tyutin YES.

Garon + Pushkarev for Brett Carson [CAR] NO. Garon for Carson might be overpayment on our part.

Garon for a 3rd YES.

Armstrong for a 2nd YES.

I wouldnt trade the low first rounder for multiple picks becasue we have prospect depth, what we need is impact players. We dont want to logjam prospects in our system.

Exactly....as it is looking right now the Kings are probably going to have an influx of about 7 or 8 guys to Manchester in the next 7 months. Players who could/should be in Manchester soon....

Brian Boyle
Scott Parse
Matt Zaba
Brady Murray
Paul Baier
Trevor Lewis
David Meckler
Joe Ryan

There is not enough contract slots open for the Kings to even sign all of these prospects. Which means they will have to let some older prospects (guys not obtaining their potential) go as free agents. But trying to obtain too many picks/prospects might not be in the best interest.....remember it is "quality" not "quantity" when it comes to building a winner.

Personally I agree, but I'm expecting otherwise since DL has repeatedly stressed the need to strengthen the 'reserve list'.

Contracts they'll likely free-up:

Clarke
Giuliano

Kanko
Marty Murray

Ryan is at least 2 more years away. Ryan McGinnis is putting togther a good year and rarely gets mentioned. I believe he will be better than Ryan. McGinnis has almost matched his point total of last season already...and is +22! I believe McGinnis can play 1 more year of junior. Joey Ryan has 2 more years.

I think Hersely will be in Manchester, considering he signed a contract already.

When a team selects a player from juniors the player must be signed to a contract within 2 years or they lose the players rights. So McGinnis must be signed by this Summer and Ryan must be signed by next Summer.....and regardless if they are in Juniors or in the AHL they count against the teams reserved list when signed.

Joe Ryan turns 20 in October, meaning he is eligible for to play in the AHL next season.

I hope he does play in Manchester....the Kings need some defensemen to try and be ready for the NHL before their 25th birthday.
