Im going by the the Canes who are in the 8th spot.
Id say the Rangers can only lose 10 more times. 11 Max, with help, or losing to the "right" teams.
If they can carry the recent stretch and win 4 straight theyll only have to go 14-10 the rest of the way which isnt totally impossible. The next 5-6 games are huge if you want to think this way. Gotta keep this ball rolling.

I see where you're going with that. Tampa is currently in 8th but if both teams keep pace Carolina will end up 8th. 15 or 16 wins will be tough either way!
Have never quit on this team or wanted to "just play the kids" becasuse the season was over...Always though it was a 2nd C, team chemistry and a surgical removal of Renney's head from his ass away form making the POs....The aquistion of AVery, the using of Straka and nylander at C, i Renney FINALLY using lines that make sense, and the team finally playing hard, gritty and together are a real good signs....Yes, this could just be a blip but I think this team will make the POs..It won't be easy becasue of the D, but I expect a trade for a D-man and us making the POs.. And being a hard team to play in the pOs
