Nagy

I dont mean to start BS rumours but a number of friends are convinced Nagy is targeted. Im not sure of his health. Isnt he injury prone a lil on the soft side? Why all the talk about him????

He's very similar to Samsonov. I don't understand why we would have so much apparent interest in him.

he isnt soft far from it .he plays physcial
injury prone?he has been in the past but so was Saku
as was Sheldon souray .

probally all the talk because he played with Mike Johnson .

Nagy is a great talent but he probally will be asking over 5 million as a ufa and not sure if that is to rich for our blood or not .

We need a goal scorer .Some who can put it in the net Nagy has 38 pts i know but only got 8 goals . Dont get me wrong id love to have him at the right price BUT

Is this what we need right now?

I'd love to have him as a rental until the end of the season as long as we don't have to give up much to get him.

no thx, injury prone and soft
super talent winger, but why not call up koty or grabo and try them?
no point in wasting assets on a trade for a player who is UFA looking for a fat raise!

Well, if we can get another centre, a puck-moving defenseman, and a gritty veteran winger who can play on the 1st or 2nd line... well, after acquiring all those higher priorities first, I guess if Phoenix is willing to move Nagy cheaply, we could always add yet another mid-sized scoring winger too. Just for kicks.

I thought Nagy was a winger but I see HockeyDB has him listed as a center. What does he usually play? If he is indeed a center I'd have no problem getting him as a rental for the second line (if/when the Forsberg thing doesn't work out), but otherwise we have no need for another smallish, expensive winger.

No need for this guy. We have enough underachievers as is.

He is a winger, he never plays as center.

Time to listen to the offers

I'm not the kind of person who gets pissed off for nothing, but this team is going nowhere.

I think that Nagy will be a target until the trade deadline. So should be Nikolai Zherdev and Nathan Horton.

In fact, I don't even care. I think that Gainey should listen to the offers of the other teams for about every player.

D Sheldon Souray: Add a pick or a decent prospect and I wonder if Kevin Lowe would accept to give us Joffrey Lupul and Jean-Francois Jacques. I would accept a great prospect and a pick or a young and talented establish players. No Sidney Crosby here. Lupul is the first name that I'm thinking right now since the Oilers would be really interested in Souray.

D Craig Rivet: I would take a 2nd rounder for him. Maybe a deseparate team could even add som kind of prospect with that.

D Francis Bouillon: A 2nd rounder would make it for me.

D Mathieu Dandenault: See Bouillon.

F Michael Ryder: I would take a late 1st rounder but I think it could be more interesting in a package deal.

F Alex Kovalev: If we could get a good prospect and a pick for him, I would be all over it. The guy doesn't want to play for this team anymore.

F Sergei Samsonov: I would take about anything. Pick, marginal player or even an overpaid player who is an UFA to be.

F Alex Perezhogin: Likely in a package deal. That said, I would let him go for a late 1st round pick.

I'm not saying to trade all these guys. There are also other players who could be traded but we wouldn't have enough value for them IMO. That said, if the value is there, I have no problem trading those guys.

The only untouchables are Koivu, Higgins, Latendresse, Markov, Komisarek and Huet.

I'd rather have Samsonov. Hes finally playing good, has playoff experience, and would be more confortable in Montreal than Nagy.

We were targeting him when Samsonov was slumping very seriously but now that he seems to be coming around with Bonk, it seems rather unlikely that we will acquire him.

The only way I'd make a pitch for Nagy is if it was for Ryder straight up.

Maybe add a mid-round pick and it might work...

Nagy is a UFA commanding big bucks. Ryder is a RFA, I'd say Phoenix would be silly not to take it, unless someone else was offering more.
