Kings vs Hotlanta

Los Angeles
14 10 1 2

Atlanta
14 11 3 1

We have played this team well in the past winning 6 times but this is a different team with a better coach. They look to be pretty healthy (not taking into account Heatley and such) as do we (not taking into account our losses that we all know about)

Pretty straight match lads (and shielas). I was right last time with my one true predicition of my life at a 2 2 tie so I will poke at it again this time. Huet is supposed to start in goal for us and if he is on we can see a win.

Kings 3 Thrashers 2.

GO KINGS! GO GET THEM THRASHERS! MAKE THEN BEAT THIER WHEAT IN THE LOSS COLUMN!!!

Kings did well to fight back for a point in Detroit. They usually follow up games like that with a win.

Atlanta has a good record at home, but then the Kings have a good road record. I think the Kings will do well tonight.

BTW- for the record, I HATE the overtime lose thing the NHL has added! Why someone is rewarded with a point for losing is beyond me. What's next? You get a point if you're leading after the 1st period, a point for leading after the 2nd, and a point for winning? Ugh!

A "thrasher" is a cycle that is used to cut long grain such as wheat. Thats what I meant mate but cheers anyway! Smash thier pumpkins! Stomp thier peaches! Whatever it takes to win!

Lol!

I figured that's what you were alluding too. I just thought "beat their wheat" was kind of random.

But you're right. The Kings are going to make them peel their potatos!!!!

this is at the top of my head... so...

To start the season the Kings had a back to back against Detroit and Pittsburgh... Kings lost to Detroit.

They had a back to back in Florida against the Panthers and Lightning. They beat the Panthers.

They had a back to back against Dallas and Colorado and lost to Dallas.

So... I believe it's 1-2 in the first of back to backs.

On the bright side, they're 3-0 on the second of back to backs...

Rather than using the top of my head. I'll just look at the Kings schedule.

Front End Games Record: 2-2 (Lost to Detroit and Dallas, Beat Florida and Chicago)

Back End Games Record: 4-0 (Beat Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Colorado and Dallas)

Should be a rather high scoring game. Lets just hope the Kings score at least one more than Atlanta.

From the LA Times:

King defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky, diagnosed with a bruise after being hit in the arm with a puck in the Kings' 3-2 overtime loss Monday to the Detroit Red Wings, could play tonight against the Atlanta Thrashers.

Former King Byron Dafoe vs. Huet. Visnovsky is playing.

Why is Sim playing with Stumpel and Palffy? And he wastes a chance in front. Why not use Straka?

Lines so far:

Sim-Stumpel-Palffy
Luc-Cammy-Straka
Frolov-Belanger-Klatt
Avery-Smithson-Tripp

Kings on the PP...

Back to the goal by Savard. I know it was near the slot, but it could have been saved by Huet, no screen in front at all. He's also leaving rebounds so far that he wasn't in his other starts. At least Dafoe is playing worse.

I'll have to see another replay to see if it was a great shot or poor positioning.

Yes, he got the first assist and Belanger got the second. Robitaille's was from Cammy and Miller.
