Columbus Blue Jackets @ Calgary Flames (2/2/07)

Definately a must win game in order to keep up with the Canucks. And with Jarome Iginla coming back tonight, I have a good feeling about this game. Hopefully we see some of that Iginla-Conroy magic.

Any word if McLennan will be getting the start? Let him start and give Kipper tomorrow night on a good couple days rest.

Yeah that's exactly what I wanted to ask...

Is Kiprusoff starting both games? Or is McLennan starting this game and Kiprsuoff playing tomorrow?

I agree that this would be a good game to start Noodles in. Columbus sucks and we could give Kipper a break...

By the way, why is Lombardi not listed in the pregame lines? How accurate is that usually? I'd hate to see him scratched, let alone dealt.

Hey now, our fragile CBJ team doesn't suck, they just play bi-polar hockey. Some nights they are world beaters and the other nights they get beaten by the world, it just depends if they take their medication before the game.

I am looking forward to this tilt tonight, CBJ/CGY always play a spirited game. I know CGY comes to Columbus soon so lets hope tonight is a pre-cursor to the next game.

Have a great time, I always love watching contest in your building, you represent Canada and hockey proud. Spoken like a true 1/2 Canadian in the states!!

I think the worst thing the Flames could do tonight is take Columbus lightly and just go out there expecting an easy win. This is not the same team it was before Ken Hitchcock took over. They can win some games now against some respectable teams. So no, I wouldn't say they suck. But if they're gonna give Kirpusoff a break, tonight would be the game to do so. However, I'm expecting to see him in net. Kiprusoff loves this heavy workload schedule, he said so himself. He likes playing back-to-back games because he says they're the best way to keep himself sharp.

Do you expect an offensive outburst from the Flames this evening?

I hope that Iginla has a Havlat-esque return from his injury and posts some big numbers with Conroy to get the media machine rolling again.

I would play Kipper against Columbus and McLennan against the Canucks. That way, you're guaranteed 2 points

You're right. Columbus is vastly improved under Ken Ratcock (good coach, but he looks like a mouse) hahah. Still, they are 13th in the west and this is a game the Flames should win, even without Kipper. Leclaire is out and Norrena is day to day.

I call a 3-1 victory!! Go Flames GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It will be tough for us not having our #1 and #2 goalies hurt. Ty Conklin has played well a few times though.

It's okay to say we suck, it makes it easier for us to sneak attack . Seriously, even if we don't suck our place in the standings doesn't really demand respect from anybody. I think this game will totally rock, and I mean rock the building because of the hitting I hope to see.

Like this http://youtube.com/watch?v=EkxMjrXEyIc

Obviously I've seen Phaneuf highlights. I like.

Ference is out tonight in favour of Giordano. He must have a minor injury or the flu bug or something.Hopefully Ference isn't out too long.Goddard also in tonight so watch for a Goddard / Shelley battle sometime tonight.

The announcers said they were both (Ference & Ritchie) healthy scratches, and there was no word of any injuries.

That makes sense but i was just going by what Peter Maher was saying in the pregame on the Fan960.

3-0 now ,man so far its a good ole fashioned butt whooping.I know its early but i think me likes.

Yeah, I didn't notice Gio was in the game until he scored. Whatever, seems to be working!

That should've been five and a game on Tollefsen. Definitely intent to injure there.
