signs that the rangers might make the playoffs this year?

rangers rolling four lines
messier getting 4th line ice time (7:21 PT after 2 periods!)
winning more of those must-win games this season

*******! even when the refs aren't trying, they manage to screw us over

1) fast whistle on a would-be goal
2) completely missed that high stick to hlavac
3) screwed up kaspar's clearing attempt that led to third goal

and how did st.louis get a breakaway on the powerplay??? what was the defense doing on that play?

what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Versus the Isles 2 quick whistles on goals, and bad call on Peca... It's amazing how u get the breaks one game in this league and the next u get effed.

I didn't see the play, but it usually happens because of an effed up line change. When the Devils' pp was horrible last year, I think our first pp goal was a Sergei Brylin breakaway.

horrendous call on Peca, cost them 2 goals, the 2 goals waved off... I think you can say that.

goal waved off for the rags on a quick whistle, a terrible non call on sarich, and then sarich scores.

it's quite ironic if uthink about it.

No, wrong again, its just the usual BS that happens on most games for the Rangers.

was sather ever going to call a timeout in the 3rd?

as for the penalties, they didnt cost us the game. there comes a point in time were the team needs to take some responsibility for a loss and stop pointing fingers at the refs. we were flat outside of the first 10 minutes of the game and made horrible decisions with the puck.

as for peca, you cant tell me that wasnt a blatant cheap shot.

If the game hangs on one bad call, you probably didn't deserve to win. A team with the second highest payroll in hockey shouldn't have to rely on calls or get sunk by them.

Three losses in four games and another lead blown in the 3rd. Disgusting but hardly surprising.

True, but if it was one or two games where the refs pulled this kind of crap fine, but this is becoming way to frequent for my liking.

I think Crispino got his quota for " Nifty's " in a sixty minute game.

the rangers have lost 3 out of 5. to the maple leafs and lightning. we have beaten the islanders and penguins. in the last 8 games we are....

4-3-1. not that disgusting considering we shouldve won both games in toronto.

Its one thing when the team just tanks it and continuously loses because theyre too lazy and dont put out the effort necessary to win games. Its even worse when they get robbed by the refs almost every night. Its so much more frustrating to lose that way. And we all know whats gonna happen. The league is gonna look over the replay and apologize for not calling the obvious high-stick on Hlavac and for not getting out of the way of Kaspar's clear, which resulted directly in the game-winning goal. And then theyre come back and screw us over again with the same horse**** vs. Montreal.

Yes, the Rangers slowed down in the 3rd period. And I know good teams dont allow their opponents to take advantage of bad breaks and bad calls. But that still doesnt change the fact that the refs gave them the breaks, just as they have on most nights.

Awards:
Horrible loss. Tampa was ripe for the taking and the Rangers manage to play not down to their level but below it.

This team is not there yet.
