It's a good read. Playing and coaching in a city like Montreal with a winning tradition and critical fans can't be easy. I think people forget the fact that the Habs teams in recent years simply don't have great players like they once had and therefore blame the coaches more often than they should.
Pretty good read. Shines a bit of a spotlight on what I consider one of the biggest problems with the habs. The unrelanting media/fan pressure can crack some of the strongest coaches. We lost Lemaire because of this, we lost Burns because of it, and I'm sure there are others who have refused to come to Montreal because of it.
What I think is a positive spin on this topic is that both BG and CJ seem to sticking to their plan, and not bending to media and/or fan hype to do things. We see some fan faves benched or sent down, for reasons that are known to management, and those decisions are being made despite the reaction that they will no doubt generate. Management still has a backbone (for now!!).
