I think if Kansas City remains positionally sound on defense, doesn't take lazy penalties and doesn't get sucked into a high scoring game and uses Legwand to hound Kansas City's Crosby all night, I think Kansas City will beat Kansas City 3-2.

This will be the only meeting of the season between the Predators and Penguins. Nashville leads the series 7-3-0 with two ties.

Not to funny there smart guy...Before you know it, it might be your team that is in the sights of KC and their new arena...Either way classless.

Now to the game, this should be a good one tonight, I will be heading down to the arena in a few hours and it should be a great atmosphere tonight. I have been looking forward to seeing you guys play, I have not got to see many of your games.

Enjoy watching our young stars (Sid, Evgeni, MAF, Staal, Whitney), since this is the only time we get to play eachother. And Let's Go Pens

(oh ya irisheyes nice GDT, but the date is 2/6/07 not 1/6/07, I noticed that because my birthday is on the 6th of Jan )

Easy hotstuff. He was making a joke that BOTH teams have been mentioned a lot in moving to Kansas City. Hence Kansas City beating Kansas City above.

Read it again.

Should be a fun game, two teams with potent offensive players and goalies that are playing well. Somebody wins, 5-3, with an empty netter.

We are #1 in the NHL. And yes, we still have a team.

  • Weber our good young D man is out and Brookbank was called up for his 1st NHL game.
  • Several Preds are still battling the flu.
  • Steve Sullivan is on a 10 game point streak.
  • Preds are 2nd in the NHL in goals, but have only Kariya in the top 20 in Pts and Sullivan/Hartnell in the top 40 in Goals.
  • Preds are tied(NJ) for the NHL lead in shutouts(9).
  • This is the first game for Eaton and (GM) Shero against thier former team.
  • Preds have their own Russian young gun Radulov.
  • Since all of the National buzz about the Preds moving they have sold out both home games.
  • Preds still rank the lowest in the NHL in away attendance(suppose that is our fault too).
  • Thursday nights home game is college night with $2 beers through the 1st Int(college ID for tix discount).

Thanks, ya it looks like our team is being built in the same mold as you guys, since Shero has been on board (and I have no problem with that!). How do you guys feel about loosing Eaton? He has been very solid for us this year, probably our best off season move.

So who besides PK should I be watching for tonight?

Its nice to hear that you are getting sellouts, I hope none of you have to go through what we have. Good luck.

Eaton was always one of my favorites.

nothing special, but quietly gets the job done.

I was fond of yelling "That's GOOD EATON!" when he made a solid play.

I have a feeling the Pittsburgh offense will create some problems for us, especially with how creative they are. This will be a good test for our defense. Hopefully Brookbank can step up and have a solid game; he's got some shoes to fill.

This very well could be a shootout tonight.

In the early goings of the season Preds fans were wanting Eaton back bad. we saw what a steadying influence he was on the Dcorp. Our youngsters have stepped up and improved their collective game since then so it has worked out.

I have Malkin on my fantasy team and I had to add Recchi since he has really been on his game. Im sure that they will keep our D on their toes.

We also have to watch out for Jordan "The shorthanded threat" Staal.

Should be a fun game I think. Unless we lose, then it will suck hehe Its cool to play an East team every once and again LOL

I was just checking their last 10 games they have been 8-0-2 so they have been hot!

This could be a high scoring game I bet Go Preds

Hey guys, new to this board, also a Pens fan...first off, i want to say congrats on how well your team has been doing this year. Unlike most teams (other than the Pens), i like watching your team play and rooting them to win (except 4 2nite)...its going to be a fun game, and im hoping for it 2 be a close one, but the Preds have four real good lines so we'll see how we match up. Good luck 2nite and the rest of the season fella's.

Good luck tonight! It should be a high-flying affair.

We were coveting Shea Weber before the season and were looking forward to seeing him tonight. Hopefully he returns soon.
