GDT 2/6- Sabres @ Thrashers 7:00 PM

I know I failed with the Saturday GDT, but it's 7 and there is no GDT so here is a quick one.

Let's get the win we need and start the road trip on a positive note.

Judging from our record against some of the better teams in the league right now, I'd say tonight will be a close one.

According to the NHL.com preview, Buffalo caught whatever we have and has been falling apart in the third period lately. Not sure what that equates to for us but I just hope if it comes down to that, we take advantage of our chances.

Either way it should be a good game, as the other 2 have been.

Dive

PP

Goal

Better not breathe on any more Sabres, or they might fall down as if they were shot by a cannon

Where were these refs when Gaustad was crosschecking and jumping on top of people in the 1st?

Well what a shock

There goes the lead, and now were down by 1.

Looks like lame penalties are going to kill us in this game too.

Again, giving good teams so many chances on the PP.... ... they seriously need to stop.

Stop what? The Thrashers have been playing disciplined hockey in the 2nd. I can't fault the team for piss poor calls against them.

The Devo penalty was pretty ********. When you're that deep in the offensive zone, that's just a brutal play to make. There was about a 10% chance that decision wasn't going to end in a 2-on-1.

That first penalty should have been a 4 on 4, second one ... eh ... could have gone either way.

Yea, considering the only reason that scoring chance came about was because Vanek held Havelid's (I beleive) stick and prevented him from getting to the puck.

So what's the story on this ref? Does he take games over a lot?

Another one...

Please team, make nice passes and not ones that will be intercepted by the likes of Drury. These high-pressure PK's have killed the PP all year long...

I guess if you give the old man enough chances on the PP he will put one home eventually.

Buffalo has better watch it with the crosschecks to the back, 2 on that last shift alone.

Are you talking about Altanta's weary PP, or Mellanby??
