Reffs

Honestly, refs have to be fined or fired for some of the game management they do.

Two penaltys on stuff thats been let go in the same game is unacceptable.

I'm sorry, both those penalties were the result of boneheaded plays by both Hemsky and especially Torres.

I hate these refs. They aren't calling anything, people are getting tripped up and hit in the head and hit from behind everywhere but noooooo. a Little crosscheck counts. go figure.

was allowed 2 seconds before.

Its unaccepable.

Boarding Major no call.

Obstruction all over the place ... no call.

Then 2 calls on nothing.

They should be fired.

I dont think we are any position to be complaining about the refs, the only person we should be complaining about is raffi torres and 2 bonehead penalties in pretty much a playoff game....he better not see the ice in the rest of this game!

How come the boarding isnt called on the MAB hit?

Anyways, they have to get one of the refs of the ice.

One ******* on the ice is more then enough.

Initiating physical contact in regards to the play and retaliating away from the play are two different things.

The refs are not perfect this game but they should be not to blamed for the Oilers lack on self-control.

some times it isn't one way or the other, We can blame the refs and torres. Raffi needs to be more disipline, but comeon, putting the oil down 2 men for 2 mins two times in a row. A complete joke. No way, sorry. Brutal. the ref was trying to prove a point.

Blame the bonehead Oiler players and not the ref.

The game is

being decided by the refs.

That means there is something wrong.

2 x 5-3 advantages in one of the most important games of the year?

If there were one ref on the ice this wouldnt happen.

just because we were getting retarded penalties, does not mean the refs can turn a blind eye to vancouver

Especially the Cooke cheap shots that he always gets away with. Isn't it bad enough that Stoll is out for an extended period of time. I'll be surprised if the Oilers come out of this game without half the team injured by the Vancovuer cheap shots.

Hmm Hemsky draws a penalty...

On the ensuing 5 on 6 Smyth is going to the net and gets attacked...

Why isnt that a 5 on 3?

'Cause the 'Nucks bribed to refs. The refs are always crap vs the Cansucks.

I dont disagree that Hemmer and Torres were out of line but there were two non calls on the canucks right before which lead to both penalties.

So you're happy that MAB got checked from behind and no call. The stupid 'Nucks got away with way to many cheap shots. MAB could have been very seriously injured. Stoll got injured because of cheap shot and now he's out for an extended period of time as a result of the stupid Canuck cheap shot.

No, but you always can expect one or two bad calls per game. When the Oilers did get the man advantage, what did it do for them anyways. The Oilers have gotten away with murder in a few games as well.

This and the MAB boarding nocall were bs. There was also the blatant interference that ferraro mentioned in the telecast.

This was by far the most frustrating game of the season for me to watch because vancouver had no momentum and didn't really do anything until those 5 on 3's.

That shift where cooke skates around and crosschecks 3 of our players in a row, then finally someone defends themself and coincidentals are called.

Next season someone like stortini should just kick the crap out of him the first game, take the major/instigator whatever. Then he won't be pulling this bs all year.

The point ferraro made on the icing was valid as well. Why was that icing when the smyth line had a chance called no ice, while all game they call icing when we miss passes which should not be icing.

I didn't see three cross checks in a row by Cooke. He was skating hard, hitting hard and was relentless. I'd for sure want cooke on my team anyday. Cooke won that game for Van if you ask me. Undiscipline lost us the game along with poor defence along with the worst puck support I've witnessed.

Which is why the Canucks are the 3rd most penalized team in the NHL.

My biggest complaint was that they let Cooke go for getting in Nedved's face and then 4 minutes later, they called Hemsky for doing the exact same thing and to top it off threw another one of our players in the box.
