Aebischer has got an unusual high amount of games recently, is Bob trying to show him to other teams? I know he is playing well and may deserve to start more often but I think at this point Bob is trying to rise his value and trade him before the deadline.
What teams are in need of a goalie?

Exactly, Huet sucks lately and Abby is playing very good. Gainey doesn't want to "show" Abby he wants to WIN.
Aebischer is UFA at the end of the year. I can't see a playoff team in need of goalie, so I don't see why he would be showcasing him. A non-playoff team might want a stopgap goalie, but I really don't see how he could have much value. Better to hang on to him for the stretch run imo.
Tampa Bay? Just sayin'.
Richards for Abby, Sammy, and Janne!!!
Now the question is whether the fundamental differences in the styles of the 2 goalies are a strong contributor to the recently poor efficiency of the PK (they do say the goalie is the most important player on the PK), or if this just coincides with the way the penalty killers have been playing (aggressiveness, blocked shots, etc.).
Maybe I should start a thread about this.
Maybe we could sub Huet in on the PK
Can you imagine? I bet we'd be the only team in history to ever have done that.
You think Melanson has anything to do with Aebischer's turn around?
Without a doubt. Melanson has been responsible for Theodore's MVP season (although I believe he said Theo had piss poor work habits), working with Huet and now cutting down Aebischer's rebounds and flopping. I think we're very lucky to have a great goalie coach in Melanson.
I don't think Aebischer's success wil last foreover. Nor do I think Huet will remain in the doldrums. For some reason they're never in sync: both bad or both good at the same time. Instead, one steps in for the other.
