Better late than never I suppose. 4-1 'Canes on the back of the Wizard.

ok, NOW I'm pissed that the Canes don't have that million dollar contest for a 5 goal game by one player like the Leafs do.

Just a few observations:

Thank you Nickelback for pissing off Cam Ward.

Frantisek Kaberle still has alot of rust to shake off, he is REALLY slow out there.

Eric Staal continues to be the least motivated player on our roster.

I really hope Erik Cole is alright, but the way he left the ice did not look good.

Ray Whitney and Scott Walker both need to be re-signed to lengthy deals.

3 goals and an assist for Whitney in less than 5 minutes. Remind me, why did he not make the All-Star roster?

Also, those 4 quickies in 4:21 have to be some kind of franchise record.

Scott Walker DESTROYED Andrew Alberts to start this comeback surge. My goodness gracious. One of the best bouts of the year. Alberts had his jersey over his head and his visor knocked off before Walker was done with him.

What else can you say about Ray Whitney aside from the fact that he took the team on his back right there the way superstar forwards do. Most underrated offensive player in the league.

Boston was killing us until that five minute stretch where they collapsed.

Really looks like Whitney is scoring at will out there, he made the entire Boston team look silly on his third goal.

In addition, the season hinges on how bad that injury to Erik Cole is. That looked nasty.

Cole looked like he injured his hip/knee. He was in a lot of pain. That didn't look good

Ray Whitney stepping up like a true leader made me totally forget about Cole. I remember how the wheels came off the last time he got injured.

Yeah. Kind of makes you flashback to last season where at about this time Brooks Orpik ended Cole's season. Really hope he is alright.

Within 4 days of the same date.

Great fight by Walker against the headless horseman.

I'm not sure but it may have been deflected by Ladd and then Willy. At least the latter

great deflection by Williams. Thomas had no chance.

Trevor Letowski with a two-point night. All we need is for Chad LaRose to score and it'll be a great night for the little people.

Looks like half the fans that left their seats at intermission decided not to return.

Whitney is now 10th in the NHL scoring leaderboard. Great signing by Rutherford 2 years ago

Yep, and that Scott Walker for Josef Vasicek deal looks better every night. Just imagine if that was Vasicek who dropped the gloves, they would probably still be trying to scrape him off the ice. Then, he would likely be out for the rest of the season.

Hope Scott Walker is alright. Our offense finally decides to show up and we lose two of our best forwards.

See how much better we look when we skate and play positionally. Now all the loose pucks are where we can get to them because we are moving so much better, good forecheck and now backcheck.
