Tonight simply has to be a good game.

We must have a stockpile of points over Detroit, starting tonight!

I have a feeling we are going to play San Jose again in the Playoffs and the Wings will win their beloved President's trophy and lose to the 8th seed again

The Preds have to watch out for the towering top line of Sundin Antropov and Pocahontas. They've been a force lately

also Raycroft has been playing his best hockey in 2 years over the last 10-12 games

and even the oft-maligned Kubina has been good on the point since he's been paired with Kaberle

PRED EXTRAS (require Flash Player):
Game Notes: Stats
Game Notes: Predators Info
Game Notes: Leafs Info

The Toronto Maple Leafs make their way into Music City tonight for just the second time ever. The only other time the Leafs appeared at the GEC was in a 3-2 Nashville overtime victory on Jan. 17, 2002. Nashville is 4-2-1 all-time vs. the Leafs after going 3-2-1 in six appearances at the Air Canada Centre.

After a 4-1 loss in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night, the Predators return home to the Gaylord Entertainment Center where they have won seven straight and are 19-3-3 this season. Nashville will play seven of its next eight games at the GEC and 16 of its final 27 contests at home.

Toronto comes into tonight's game trailing the Carolina Hurricanes by one point for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Leafs have stormed back into the playoff picture by winning five straight and 10 of their last 12 contests.

The Maple Leafs are led by captain Mats Sundin, who ranks second on the club's all-time scoring list, and derive a lot of offense from a pair of blueliners--Tomas Kaberle and Bryan McCabe. Tonight marks the final game of a five-game road trip for the Leafs, who are 4-4-0 vs. Western Conference opponents this season.

Predators Notes
The Predators are now 37-15-3 with 77 points and entered last night's games in first place overall in the NHL… Nashville has outscored opponents 67-43 in the first period and 75-39 in the second period this season… The Predators have equaled a franchise record in road wins in a season with 18 and still have 12 road games remaining… Nashville is 6-2-0 vs. the Eastern Conference this season… The Predators are 28-7-1 when scoring first, 25-1-3 when leading after two periods and 23-11-2 when outshot by their opponent.

Going to be an interesting game tonight. Will we see the Predators team which came out against Anaheim or the team which failed to show up against Pittsburgh.

may not be as good as irisheyes' but it's still miles ahead of ours.

Obviously can't wish you luck as we need these 2 points more than you do, but here's hoping its an entertaining game for all.

we'll be back in another few years....

We need this home stand badly. Our play has been inconsistent the last 4 games. Hopefully the GEC will keep the players into it.

Ya Leafs have hit the Injury bug hard.

Sidenote: I had no idea Sundin was that close to being the greatest statistical Leaf Captain of Alltime.....and still I love Wendel Clark more

Vokoun to start tonight in nets. Weber and Tootoo out tonight. Weber skated this morning with the team and is hoping to practice Friday and possibly return Saturday at home vs. Los Angeles. Tootoo is doubtful for Saturday.
