Super Merged Rant Thread

Am I the only one wondering if Carbo is the best thing for this team?

In my opinion we should keep Muller and Jarvis, but I think it might be best for this team if we had an offensive minded coach.

Like I've stated before, it seems like Carbo is showing alot of rookie mistakes lately. I'm kind of getting sick of him already.

I don't really want to see him fired..but it seems to me that something has to be done. Year after year we can't score ****ing goals and I'm starting to get sick of this.

It's time for Montreal to play ALOT more offensive minded. I mean, aren't we supposed to be an exciting team??

Change is needed imo and I think it might have to start with an offensive minded coach.

I'm not trying to bash Carbo, I just think it might be better for the team.

The fact that we are playing like if we were leading by 15 goals when we are loosing by 3 pisses me off. Carbonneau should now put a scoring line whit Higgins Koivu and Kovalev, he's got to think offense.

Ryder Out!!!!!!!!

Ryder is absolutely useless!!! How is it that he even gets PP time? He can't score or even get any decent scoring chances for that matter. He is unoriginal and he always loses the puck. If anybody should be out, it's him. Bring up Grabovsky and Kostitsyn and lets have them play together on a line with Samsonov (or whoever) until the others earn their jobs back.

Here's another thing. Carbonneau should bench anybody who gets a stupid penalty from now on because these guys just don't seem to get it. Our PK sucks and these penalties are utterly useless. These guys are a disgrace to the Habs storied franchise.

Anybody who plays like **** should be automatically replaced by a Hamilton call-up to get the point across. At least those guys would play their hearts out if given a chance to play in the big league.

I agree that Carbo make some rookie mistake but I fail to see how it's his fault if player don't score

Carbonneau is doing fine. I do not like Jarvis and Muller. Jarvis will stay because he's gainey's best friend. I would like to bring a russian coach assistant... like Igor Larionov.

I just worry about our offensive future.

I mean, how is Andrei Kostitsyn supposed to score 30/40 goals under a Carbo/Muller/Jarvis system?

Koivu has 2 points in 11 games.
Ryder has 4 points in 11 games.
Higgins has 1 point in 11 games.

The team was good when this line was good. 7 points in 11 games is 4th line worthy. I don't blame the coach, not fully anyway.

Larionov as assistant coach is an interesting idea.

Hahahaha.

Well guess what honey, Carbo is a rookie coach. He's not Jacques Lemaire, he's not Pat Burns, he's a ROOKIE coach. Of course he made rookie mistakes, and he's still probably going to make some. You're all acting like 6 months behind a bench as a coach is enough to be considered experimented.

Keep him there. Keep Jarvis and Muller. Keep everyone. He's a rookie for all that is holy's sake. Just like Lats made rookie mistakes. Just like any other rookie. Don't expect him to act like a 30-years of experience coach.

Let him learn.

edit: I don't mean to bash you. Just letting you know what I think about Carbo-bashers.

Please..(revised)

PLEASE STOP ALL THIS EFFORTLESS BS!!!

I know I initially tried to create a positive outlook out of this thread, but there was no fight at all on the ice during the 3rd and in a nutshell, we were brutal.

I still don't believe that there are faults throughout the entire organization, nor that Carbs is totally to blame.

The problem is on the ice, bar none. We're lacking any kind of emotion, grit or determination.

I hope that things will turn around. I believe that we'll find a way to win and make the post season.

Until then, lets stand behind our boys

GO HABS GO!!!

PS I was in denial

How long is a slump? 2 months? If you think this is simply a slump, then you need to give your head a shake.

my point wasn't about Carbo making rookie mistakes..it was more about the fact that we need an offensive minded coach, and Carbo doesn't seem to be that man.

And please, don't ever call me honey again sweetheart.

I'm kinda tired of these "don't worry" type fans.

How the **** are we supposed to be positive?

My god, after tonight we'l be 29-21-6...remember when we were 21-8-5?

Its a confidence thing.

They fell into a rut when they lost a couple bad ones, got some injuries, the flu bug, etc.

Im not making excuses abd admittedly the team is playing horribly, but I dont think the problem within all levels of the organization and is as severe as some may put it.

I honestly think we should trade Ryder now before his value drops to near Samsonov value....NOTHING

He reminds me of Zednik the One armed wonder. Ryder is the One move Wonder.

It's driving me nuts. Everytime he gets a chance to shoot he loses the puck or shoots it directly in the goalies crest.

I understand why you're worried, but I think there are more things to take into consideration than just the coaching.

Don't forget that a few years ago the farm system was full of future busts or future american leaguers. We had nothing in the big club except has been veterans and fringe players. Theo kept our head above the water when we should have been drowning and draft in the top 5 in the draft for some years. Add to this our draft run in the nineties, etc. well you get the point.

I am not saying that all of the above excuses our current problems, but well it might explain it a little. IMO we've come a much longer way than some people here seem to think.

And as for this year only, well, I don't think it's carbo's fault if samsonov or kovalev have been doing squat, same for koivu, higgins and ryder for some time now.

It's impossible for a coach to always make the right decisions. Look at Pat Burns; two times jack adams winner, always gets fired after about three years.

personally I think Gainey is to blame for the samsonov signing; yes no one would have thought it would be that bad, but no one forced him to do this.

And don't count on Gainey firing carbo anytime soon, it's known that he is Gainey's man, and if one goes, the other will too, probably.

I still think this isn't carbo's team at all, let him time. he'll make other adjustments in the summer, people have to be more patient and understand that six months does not mean a carreer.

it's vignault fault!
it's therrien fault!
it's julien fault!
it's carbo fault!

ribeiro is a locker room cancer!
dagenais is a locker room cancer!
theodore is a locker room cancer!

It's the same problems every years and I think we should point to some players that have been here for all these years.
