Garrioch: Stars desperate to shake up lineup

Normally I wouldn't post the usual weekday stuff of Garrioch, except this has an interesting statement. See:

Stars desperate to shake up lineup

We have the old news that the Stars could be ready to trade, but no recent talks with the Ottawa Sens. Then we have this:

Quote:
Jason Arnott is another guy they would like to move, but there's not a whole lot of interest there either.
Arnott has 7G 13A for 20 points in 25 games, +4 (didn't play last night, why - groin acting up?). Good size, and is "defensively responsible" (TSN profile).

Not a whole lot of interest, huh?

Jason is one of the most attractive players available if he trully is. He is in the mids of his prime, he's a big two-way center, very skilled, physical and is a playoff warrior who isn't overpaid. I can't see the Stars trading him personally, but I'd offer Mike Peca from my Isles to set a tone. I easily prefer him over Bonk.

You would think so, but not when you consider that Satan and McKee have seriously been horrible this season, in contrast to Jason and Erskien who both have played very, very well in the games I've seen.

I would do that if I was GM in Buffalo.

Arnott is known for being one of the biggest cancers in the league, and that's why the Devils gave him away to dallas. yes I know they got Nieuwendyk, but lets face it, 35 year old Niuewndyk isn't 25 y/o Arnott.

34 year old McKay isn't exactly 25 y/o Langenbrunner either, is it?

Would the 1st-round draft pick that went to Dallas with Arnott be the tie-breaker?
