Yeah I've seen Lundqvist and a few other players (Nylander comes to mind) and they will skate to the other side of the rink and throw a puck into the stands, but Orr just took an entire victory lap High comedy.
Its ok, when is the next time he will get that chance, let the man enjoy his lap on one of the biggest stages
Hate to rain on the parade, but who sits tomorrow? I guess if Hollweg gets suspended for "kneeing" that will solve that, but I dont want to see alot of tinkering with these lines, for now.

Honestly I think we need all our physical players against Washington. Im sure Dupuis will play, who will sit I dont know. Probably Hollweg although I think we need him for tomorrow's game. Should be interesting, I only caught the end of the game but it sounds awesome and I will watch rangers in 60 tonight. Sounds like a great game, Im actually laughing thinking Hollweg and Orr especially with the awesome victory lap.
Hollweg will probably sit. Even if he isn't suspended Renney will want to get Dupis on the ice and he'll tell Hollweg something like "we'll see" and don't take penalties like that.
another positive note: wolfpack beat springfield 2-1 in regulation, dubinsky and byers with the goals... they peppered 40 shots on springfield but only score twice... must have been lisa simpson in goal for springfield ... LOL

agreed. the poor guy is having trouble being a regular roster player. thats something he can tell his children and grandchildren.
just imagine old grampa colton with his grandchild on his lap:
"well , back in 2007, when i was much younger than today, i skated for the new york rangers... and there was this one special night for me on the 9th of february... i skated down the rink when some punk named andre roy challenged me to fight him.. but i skated away because i had the feeling something special will happen to me..., so i skated away from him... threw a big hit that laid down a lightning and suddenly... i had the puck on my stick... i had no idea how it got there, so.. and dont tell this anybody son.. i got scared and wanted to get rid of the puck.. so i just threw it towards the net with a backhander and can you believe it? it somehow trickled in!! and you know what? i got voted the 2nd star of the night.. and when i came out of the hallway i heard the crowd cheering my name.. so i made a victory lap as they were chanting "colton! colton! colton!". your grandpa did a victory lap in the old Madison Square Garden"
can you imagine orr in 50 years "i stole the puck from lecavalier, outskated st. louis, dropped Boyle and with Andre Roy on my back I scored 5-hole, backhand from 30 feet out... yes kiddos, your grampa was one hell of a first-line centre"... LOL
Dupuis enters the lineup tomorrow in replace of Jed Ortmeyer.
Dupuis enters the lineup tomorrow in replace of Petr Prucha.
Dupuis sits until one of Hollweg or Orr falls off.
I think Dupuis will come in for Orr eventually, but not tomorrow.
At least for one night we got the balance scoring we've been looking for. More importantly we played a smart game, only 3 penalties, good forecheck and took tampa's game away.
Joe M said on the telecast that Homqvist shoulda had Orr's shot. I disagree. He got caught moving because Orr quicly moved from his forehand to backhand and slid it under as Holmqvist reacted o the move.
im sure campbell has a stack of suspension application forms already stamped with hollwegs name on it, only needing to fill in the infraction and number of games suspended...
If even for just one night it was a great game to watch.
Of course it leads to the inevitable: If only they could bring this kind of effort evert night or if only Orr could do this more often or if only Hollweg could do this more often, etc. etc.
But if even for one night, it's nice to be just that much happier that your team won as opposed to being disappointed because they blew it again.

Well what else is he going to do?
No one is going to hire him to coach, he's gotta be a lackey.
