UMass senior goaltender Gabe Winer, who spent his Spring Break playing for the Johnstown Chiefs before heading back to school, has signed an ATO with the nearby Springfield Falcons.

You've got a great shot. Buffalo is his first choice of where he wants to play.

Well, Johnstown and Springfield are connected by their affiliation with the Lightning. Winer played in Johnstown during his spring break when Chiefs goalie Jonathan Boutin was called up to Springfield following the trade of another minor goalie. Boutin was just sent back down to Johnstown for the ECHL playoffs this week, so a back-up goalie is needed for a week to finish off Springfield season. That's why Winer got the call.

I wonder if that will influence Brian Boyle's decision to leave, seeing that he was drafted by the kings.

Ha ha ha ha! Toronto DESERVES the crap pile that is Robbie Earl! He will get along just fine with such stellar people as Darcy "The Diver" Tucker and "Railroad" Tie Dummy! Earl is a perfect example of all that is wrong with hockey at times: a whiner, a DIVER (he got called for it many, many times this year alone!), and a baby who can't take a hit without crying about it. Cudos to the Badgers for winning, but this guy is a PUNK. I wish Toronto luck with this clown!

Great start for Gionta in Albany. In his first game he had 3 goals and an assist. He and Bergfors seem to do well together.

I dont know now. I think the Kings are going to have to overpay him to get him to come out of college now, He has indicated that he wants to stay at BC for his senior year.

Robbie Earl signed with Toronto.

Quote:
Agent Pat Brisson said Earl will be assigned to the Toronto Marlies in time for the AHL playoffs, which begin next Friday.

"I think I'm ready," Earl said by phone from Madison, Wis. Thursday. "It'll be tough leaving school behind, but I think I'm ready for that phase of my life."

As far as the Kings go, the player signing (whenever it happens) that has my curiosity is when Scott Parse will be signed, especially since BLT has signed with Phoenix. I'm hearing/reading mixed things about Parse leaving UNO.

Anyone else have any thoughts?
