Lucky you, when I lived up in VT/NH area I used to see a ton of local hockey like UVM, UNH, St Lawarence, Dartmouth, etc. However I have not been able to see must since moving back to PA.

RIVERMEN GET HELP FROM BLUES
The St. Louis Blues have signed college defenseman Steve Wagner to an NHL contract for the 2007-08 season.

The Blues intend to sign the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder to an AHL tryout contract in the next few days so he can join the Peoria Rivermen for the remainder of this season and playoffs.

Wagner was a junior at Minnesota State-Mankato, where David Backes played. Wagner is an offensive defenseman, excellent skater and puckhandler who was second on his team in scoring with 29 points in 38 games this season.

The Rivermen hope to have him in the lineup in the next 4-7 days.

Great pickup the Blues! Wagner is a terrific kid. Pretty much figured someone was going to get him , so it's nice to see the Blues get him. I hope he does really well with them. The Mavs will certainly miss him.

Maybe this could be the start of a beautiful relationship between St. Louis and Minnesota State. After all, they do have David Backes in the system too.

Agree, nice signing by the Blues.

Did I miss an announcement that Kirk MacDonald signed with Colorado or Carolina? Ahl.com has him signed to an ATO with Albany. Another player most knew would be signed. Congrats.

Haven't seen it, so I'll post it:
Florida Panthers have signed Dartmouth (I believe?) forward Tanner Glass (otherwise known as the guy they got instead of Alex Ovechkin) to an ATO and assigned him to Rochester, according to the Americans' website.

There was an article on Thursday from a local paper in Steamboat Springs, CO saying that Ryan Dingle had signed a contract with the Ducks.

http://www2.steamboatpilot.com/news/...ad_nhl/?sports

However, in today's Rocky Mountain News, it appears that Dingle is undecided.

http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drm...439885,00.html

Either way, something will be known in the next few days.

UPDATE: http://www.denverpost.com/colleges/ci_5515019

Apparently, at least a dozen teams have inquired about Dingle. Looks like Ryan is gone, the question is where will he end up.
