We will be happy to take him and develop him in Albany. The guy has serious skills. I just don't see why it takes him till the playoffs to become motivated.
if you ever figure out that answer, please let us Gopher fans know. He can be really frustrating to watch at times. Sometimes he reminds me of the the Wild's Kuba....really big, but doesn't know how to use his body effectively
Bridgeport was VERY impressed with Vince and the only reason why he isn't there anymore is because they got a bunch of guys back from injury.
They have actually told him he may be coming back to play and he'd be one of the first signings in case of injury in the playoffs.
Jeez... what the heck is your issue?
I didnt know I had an issue
I only said that he was released...the type of transaction that is the purpose of this thread.
I didn't say anything to the contrary of what you said, and I would expect that they liked what they saw of Vince...I myself am a big fan of his and have followed his career seeing he is from NH.
Don't know how you interpreted my post...but I am sorry if you took it the wrong way
If you thought it was a personal jab at you or something...it couldnt be futher from... I didn't even pay attention to who had made the original post to be honest, just repied to it.
Anybody heard anything about Brandon Bochenski. He has one more year of eligibility, but considering he is the odds-on favourite to win the Hobey Baker, any word on whether he's looking to leave one year early or play another year and finish up his Senior season in style with a championship?

You laughed at it.
And where did you see he was released? I spoke with Cronin today and he said he wants him back but Vince has to finish an internship, he might play this weekend.

I wouldn't consider him an odds on favorite to win the hobey. The last 2 hobey winners have been from the WCHA, and as much as it's not supposed to influence the decision, I'd be surprised to see another WCHA player win it. However, I'd Junior Lessard of UMD has a much better chance. There is more than just hockey skill that goes into the Hobey, one of them being character. Counterfeiting 20 dollar bills doesn't say much about one's character.
that being said, look for someone out east to take the hobey this year, IMO

Somehow I don't see his childish antics from four years ago before he even entered college having much of a bearing on the Hobey Baker voting, but that wasn't realy the point of my post. Maybe I worded my post wrong, but my prime interest was whether it looks like he would sign or put in a fourth year at UND.
Scott Ford, D, Brown University has signed with San Jose. Besides what's listed in the press release (ECAC defensive defenseman of the year, 6'3" 225lb, 6G9A in 31GP, Brown captain this year), any opinions/thoughts on his game?
also...I have the skinny on some of the UNH senior's plans...but I won't say anything until they are announced, out of respect.
The Rangers could use Saviano, Mounsey and Foley to go along with Martz. Need all the youth we can get now. Open competition at training camp for a change

Foley has already been drafted, pittsburgh I think
Scott May (Ohio State) ----> St. John's
Kenny Smith (Harvard) ---->Toronto (AHL)
Andy Wozniewski (Wisconsin)[FA] ----> Toronto (AHL)
Got these from the uscho boards... for those who wouldnt see them there.
The Wozniewski signing is total rumour at this point. I checked out all of the sites that would have posted something on this signing and NONE have it. Now it may appear tomorrow (Thursday) but for now it's a rumour.

As of right now, it looks like he'll be back for a 4th year. Dean Blais said after Parise's signing that none of the other drafted players on UND's team had been contacted by their teams. And they sure aren't going to sign him in the summer or fall until the CBA mess is resolved. Of course, I said that about Parise, too!
If you check the header of this thread, I've put up the links to the minor pro leagues (AHL, ECHL and UHL) transaction pages. There have been many now former NCAA players who have recently signed ATOs or PTOs. If you follow NCAA hockey, you'll recognise a few names.
Justin Kinnunen (Northern Michigan) signed with Dayton Bombers (ECHL) and got an assist in his second game...too bad the Bombers website doesn't keep up on these things
F Scott May (Ohio State) - has signed with the St. John's Maple Leafs (AHL). May was originally drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs. HERE is the link.
From the ECHL Website:
D Joe Markusen (Michigan State) - signed with the Trenton Titans F Paul Camponigri (Ohio State) - signed with the San Diego Gulls D Dan Boeser (Wisconsin) - signed with the Peoria Rivermen D Jon Krall (Wisconsin) - signed with the Las Vegas Wranglers D Mick Mounsey (New Hampshire) - signed with the Idaho Steelheads D Tom Galvin (Notre Dame) - signed with the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies
From the UHL Website:
Forwards Rob McFeeters (Clarkson) and Adam Tackaberry (Mercyhurst) have both signed with the Elmira Jackals.

This is apparently another case of a kid bailing early to get the money from the old CBA before the new one changes what kind of money a high first-rounder can get.
