2 game series?

I think we should pull a more baseball type of thing. I feel whenever a team plays back to back games, they are 100% more entertaining because one team has to proove something. Boy was that game against carolina exciting, bad blood all around. Now when they play each other again, the rivalry can cool down on the game, but atleast we had one good game. I think the NHL should put more of that in if possible.

Anyone else thinks it's a good idea?

I think your bang on with the idea. By the way wasn't RYDER incredible tonight. Him and Begin are starting to become two of my favourite players on this team.

Peace!

There used to be those all the time around '93. Then they became non-existent for the second half of the nineties, and it seems they've only resurfaced in the past couple of years. As you say, they're very entertaining, both teams have the same level of rest and it's good to have them back.

back to back game?

I really like seing the habs playing in back to back game on friday-saturday

I wish the NHL is thinking to put more back to back game in next year calender.

It's good because habs look like the habs are playing with more grit when it's back to back. And it's great for the fan

Hey if it`s good for the NHL and the fans enjoy it it isn`t going to be around for long. You should know how Bettman thinks by now.

The intensity level that the Habs showed was a direct result of this being a back to back series. It was entertaining to watch a revitalized Habs team from a fans' perspective. Heck, even Sundstrom was feisty, banged on the boards and crashed the net (yes...it really was Sunny). Q was assessed more penalty minutes after the final whistle than the whole team averages over 60 minutes. It was an emotionally charged and entertaining pair of games. More of it, please!!

I also agree, a home and home series is very entertaining, its the next best thing to the playoffs, teams usually hate each other after playing a few games

the league should really look into this for next season and have more of them if schedules permit them
