Exactly what we don't need... Small forward. Good defensively, but not what we need.

If this happen, I would start to stop watching NHL hockey, I would not be able to cheers for another team, so I would enjoy Kostitsyn-Grabovsky in the AHL...

Kapanen would be an upgrade over who ?

Brent Bilodeau ?

I'd agree with all the things you said about Kapanen....if it was 3 years ago

kapanan to replace a guy like murray on the 4th line? sure, why not?
i don't have interest in kapanan, but he's good at killing penalties and wouldn't cost an arm and a leg.

Wouldn't suprise me, he's the type of player they draft every year and sign in the off season. the Kostitsyn's, Perezhogin, Samsonov, Mikus, etc etc etc. This small, 1/2 skilled offensive player is the style of player they try to design their system around and it always generates the same results.

Kapanen is an allright player, don't get me wrong here, but he is not the type of player we need right now, we need a pure scorer or playmaker. We already have Mike Johnson and Radek Bonk who, together with any other player, make the perfect 3rd line with size and speed. We don't need Sami Kapanen.
