Hmmm, nice complementary player. I used to be pretty high on Dupuis a few years back, but from what I've read from Minnesota fans this year, he hasn't been much to talk about. Will he even see playing time on the Rangers?
I like the trade...dupuis is not a savior or anything, but he's got to be better than hall.....right?
this is another move that is not the 2nd line C or D-man we need, but is at least a step in the right direction
Assets
Plays the game with tremendous energy and combativeness. Is versatile enough to play any forward position or any role required. Still owns offensive upside.
Flaws
Needs to bury more of his chances around the goal area in order to take his game to another level.
Career potential
Two-way forward.

I don't know, this just seems like a trade of one underachieving winger for another. What does Dupuis bring to the table that Hall doesn't? Any Wild fans out there with any insight?
He put up a 20 G 28 A season. In other words, he's a heck of a lot better than garbage like Betts, Hossa and Hollweg. I'm not sure about his speed but I would assume he's fast. With Avery, seems like the Rangers want to become a faster team with more offense. That seems to be the early pattern I'm seeing.

Garbage like Betts , Hossa and Hollweg are still on the team....deal with it! NEVER ASS U ME!
We gained a player with more offensive potential in Dupuis.. He has greater career highs than Adam had..
Another thing to note, the Wild are notorious for defense-first system, which is good on both levels for Pascal.. Meaning he might produce more with a looser system and we know he has to be good defensively if he has played for Lemaire all these years.
Nonetheless, he is what he is, a depth player.. Nothing more, nothing less.
Well he will no doubt make more of an impact than Hall did. Sather really seems to be trying to get a spark out of this team. First gets rid of Ward, now Hall, is he trying to send a message to the team?
am i the only one kind of rejoicing inside due to Mr. Hall's departure.. i know nothing of this Dupuis guy, but i am mostly excited to now hear asinine trade proposals from 'P_DupuisNYR'... formerly known as 'AHall18NYR'..
i'm not going to lie, i dont know much of Dupuis, but i'd rather have a draft pick..

Add in there he is a very good skater and is about 100X faster than Hall. This is a good trade I think, Hall was a player that just looked lost on this team.
Can't complain about the trade at all..Hall was a bust and DUpuis, warts and all, is the better player even if he may not contribute all that much to filling needs
The thing is, it is another LW where we seem to be loaded with quantity of players that can play that position, True RWs are another story....
Anyway, as others have mentioned, I think both the Avery deal and this deal are still precursors to a deal(s) where we send out multiple players---for a true C...
