Rangers just have to win their games.

Next game is HUGE against Carolina.

26 Games Remaining.

2 Games in hand on Montreal and Tampa, 3 on Carolina. Nice to have some games in hand on teams.

Rangers Important Games Remaining:

2 Against Carolina
3 Against Montreal
4 Against Islanders
1 Against Toronto

In other words, the Rangers control their own fate...much like last year when they controled their fate to win the division, that didn't work out too well.

Yeah we gotta beat Carolina. We always seem to struggle there though but maybe this team's different personality since Avery came here might help out.

By the way, how far has Montreal fallen? People were saying they could challenge Buffalo about two months ago and now they are about to fall out of the top 8. Yikes.

As I said all season, Montreal won't make the playoffs...they couldnt even beat Florida today.

The Rangers will take Montreal's spot in the playoffs (I also see Carolina not making it)

Tonight (Tues) was pretty much a worst case scenario points-wise. Carolina, Tampa, Leafs, & Fishsticks all walked away with points. Only the Habs lost their game. We better make these games in hand friggin count....

Another team on the watch list should be Atlanta. Who would have thunk it after their hot start, but they're in a fight for the division. They've actually given up more goals than they've scored (Carolina and Montreal have too).

Rangers just need to keep playing good hockey, chances are that at least one of Atlanta, Carolina, Montreal or Tampa Bay will go into a major slump before end of season.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. As long as WE win our games, we'll be fine. Other teams are bound to lose, so as long as we play good, we'll be fine. However, if we don't and are relying on other teams to lose, we're screwed. Just play good and don't worry about anyone but yourself and we'll be playing in May. Or at least Mid April

If only it was that easy with the Rangers. Two good games isn't going to erase two months of bad hockey. You can't predict how the Rangers will play

Toronto and the Islanders are also in the mix.In fact, they have a three point lead on the Rangers

I can see us beating Toronto but the Di'Pietro has been crazy lately. I hope we pull a huge winning streak and slingshot through the ranks.

That's because Ed Belfour turned back the clock 10-15 years ago and basically stood on his head

its to early to scoreboard watch, just go out and win games, if you win your share of games it wont matter what the other do at this point.

I'd say the Panthers. A win would still have them behind us.

Well, 1 out of the 3 important games tonight went our way...

Montreal Lost, but Pitt and Ottawa both won. Montreal losing is more important though, that team is in a tail spin right now.
